Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomEverything was a bit worn out and could do with some attention. It’s a well priced basic set up but it could do with a bit of TLC. The bar was never open at the end of the skiing day so it was hard to get refreshed.
Chilled friendly and helpful staff.

AustriaThe furniture are a bit old. The kitchen has no dish washer, no microwave (although the customer service confirmed us that there is microwave). The hair dryer does not work. We booked a room with balcony but there was no balcony. The floor is not totally horizontally flat near the window, that you might feel a bit dizzy when you are standing there. The bathroom door handle is installed wrong. There are some photo frames on the wall without any photos. The kitchenware were not totally clean, that we cleaned by ourselves before the first use. The central heating did not work. But luckily there was a small electric heater in the room, which was sufficient to heat the room up, if you don't mind the noise. (At the end of our stay they tried to repair the heating, hopefully it's working now) We booked for 3 people including my kid, but they did not prepare any blanket or pillow for my kid. I had to share them with my kid. You might hear your drunk neighbors coming back after midnight and screaming if you have bad luck.
The size of the room is not bad, with quite a big living room (kitchen included) with couch and dining table. The location is also good, about 10 minutes by foot from Zillertalbahn station, which is great for people travelling with public transportation. The price is fair comparing to the other hotels around. There is a nice swimming pool nearby which can be reached by foot in 15 minutes. A great place for children. We also went to the Kabooom (with an outdoor ice skating area, and many other things to do) which can be easily reached with Zillertal bahn, and my kid liked it a lot. There is a fridge and an electric stove that you can cook something very basic. The staff was friendly (though perhaps cannot give much tourist suggestions). There are many young people / skiing enthusiasts in this hotel if you are interested. The internet connection is good. The bed is not too big but soft enough for us to have good sleep. Shower water was nice hot.

Netherlandsonly superficial clean, lots of spiders of diferent types and sizes in the apartment. The mattress of one room was not good. The hot plates/oven does not work, and the replacement plates take ages... There is no elevator, which may not be a problem for fit people, but we had one very unfit member. She had a real hard time climbing all these stairs. The management should have mentioned it in the website.

United KingdomThe door locks/key didn't really work. No one answers the phone/email etc. Just very unorganised in general for a hotel/hostel. One guest got locked out of her room and ended up sleeping in a different room which had the door open lol
The cleaning lady was really wonderful and helped me a lot with tips etc. It's worth noting that it's out of season. So recepting wasn't really open which led to issues. I stayed three days. The mountains and are are epic. I will be back however if I Brought a friend I would get a hotel for a few euros more per night.

GermanyI am complaining about the payments: Booking.com charged me for the room ahead of time. The Hostel Chillertal also charged me for the stay. Despite accepting the error, Hostel Chillertal have not repaid me after 3 weeks, which I find totally unaccaptable, as it takes only 2 minutes to repay someone their money. I am complaining also to Booking.com about this. Watch-out for this!

CroatiaWhile the room looked clean, there was really bad smell from bathrooms. I'm not sure if it related to cleaning products they are using or something but it was quite bad. The whole place doesn't really look clean and maintained but they are currently doing some renovation so hopefully this will improve. Wifi was practically unusable in the evening. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. We were told that breakfast is served from 7:30. We came there at 8 and the doors to the restaurant were still closed. They did open it after knocking on the door but it was obvious that nothing was prepared yet. There was barely any food on the counter (they were probably still preparing it) and coffee machine was broken.
Almost everyone from staff was very welcoming and helpful. Hostel is located near the river and has a nice view towards mountains. Room had enough space and bed were ok.

United KingdomThroughout the week there were no staff available to assist with any queries as well as the the bar being closed for the entirety of our stay. The staff decided that it was too much effort to do breakfast at the designated times so you had to choose between breakfast or morning ski lessons. overall a very disappointing experience compared to past stays at this hotel.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious with balconies looking out onto the mountains, they are basic but perfect for intended use The service room is well equipped and available for guests to set up or make adjustments to their equipment.

GermanyThe breakfast was terrible value for money. Just go to Hans Gasser and get something hot and tastier for less than half the price. Also it's a party hostel. Maybe you want that. My dorm was full of young Austrians/Germans screaming and shouting all night. Lots of strange noises in my dorm—like a zoo. The noises continued until 0500 and started again at 0715. I guess die Jungen thought it was funny but mostly it was cringe. If you're a light sleeper then you won't be able to sleep here under any circumstances. I am a heavy sleeper. I've no idea how I managed to sleep here.
Facilities were decent. It seems to be a party hostel. It's good if you want that. It's got a great location. Five minutes walk to the train station and with a bus stop right outside the door. The staff are extremely friendly and I cannot fault them at all. The beds are very comfortable.

Israel1. I got the information about no breakfast only in tge morning. After I was told that we are the only guests so if we want they can arrange for us breakfast. 2. I think it is about time to do some slight fixes in the bathroom. There are some paint that simply is falling down. 3. The hot water took at least 2-3 minutes to get to there.
The stuff are friendly. They informed me in advance that no one will be at the reception so they put my keys in a locker with great explanation what to do. And I got the room which I wanted. However if we were the only ones, I would think to have an upgrade for the room...
