Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIf you’re unlucky enough to be assigned room 102, run for the mountains. Sadly this room was really disappointing. Small, and cramped, and hot because the was no a/c. ( spoke with reception about this who informed me that I should have checked the room description before booking. On booking.com, it was listed as having a\c which I showed her and it’s since been removed) It had the smallest bathroom. Put it this way, you couldn’t sit on the toilet without your knees touching the wall. Old dated furniture, only available plug socket was literally behind the mattress, there was one next to the bathroom which was useless as on the other side of the small room and behind the dated furniture. Or you could choose to use the tv socket, but then you’re sacrificing your tv. Curtains were falling off the rails. Reception kindly gave us a fan which helped a little bit, but the room has literally been a sauna for the last four days. It ruined my experience because I genuinely didn’t want to go back to the hotel after being out because it was so so hot and uncomfortable. If I could have switched hotels, I gladly would have, but everything in the area was fully booked. There is a new block that has beautiful rooms that do have a\c I’m guessing that these are most likely the superior rooms. My advice to you is to book the superior room and not the comfort, because the comfort is uncomfortable.
Location was perfect

HungaryThis is definitively not a four stars hotel. It is big cheating, that they sale these rooms as four star. We had no air conditioner in our room, so we had to sleep in 30 degree celsius. No net on the windows, so not even the window could be opened, if you don’t like mosquitos. There was not fridge, or minibar either, so you couldn’t refresh yourself with a drink either. There were black mould between the tiles in the shower. There was missing door on the shower, so it was all over water in the bathroom. They have very few parking places, no reservation is possible. Almost everyone comes with car, so it is very inconvenient for late arrival guests to park few hundred meeters from the hotel. The biggest problem was, whenever we claimed in the morning about these things, we were answered on an arrogant way: -They are four stars, because a few rooms are equiped with air-conditioner. -It is our misstake, because there are rooms with air-conditioner as well, comfort room is not. What is than the comfort???? -Their architect designed the shower without the door. It is a bullshit, because in a walk in shower the entrance is the farest possible from the shower, but here it was in the middle. And you could see the railway of the rollers of the door up and down as well. How is it possible? Isn’t there any authorities who are deciding about the stars? If one hotel had rooms with 4 stars quality and comfort, they can sell other shitty rooms also claiming the hotel itself is 4 stars, and you had no good luck, you were not careful enough in reading the room description that it is finally a hostel room. Crazy.
Good location, in the city center.

PhilippinesRoom was large (being supposedly a suite) but a far cry from correct 4-star quality, and overall depressing to be in. Old furniture, sagging floor, shrunken parquet tiles leaving open cracks. No refrigerator/minibar. Bathroom minimally-finished with white-painted drywall surfaces. Mini-safe did not work; after I mentioned the problem, a front desk person later assured me it had been fixed, but it hadn’t. Decorated with old legal documents that made it feel even more cold and cheerless. Booking.com should not allow properties like this to claim 4-star status. As a very experienced traveler, I would rate it 3 stars at best, and the lack of a refrigerator would rule even that out. I checked out after one day (having prepaid 2 days) and moved to a much nicer hotel, cheaper, two blocks away.
Good location, short walk from train station, and in the center of the main concourse of Villach.

GermanyI was annoyed to find I had only flimsy curtains but a room right next to the neon sign outside the hotel. Why not provide proper curtains to block the light? I really disliked having dogs snuffling around me while I was eating breakfast. Perhaps it would work better to have a dog-free zone too? (for example for people with allergies or any interest in basic hygiene)
The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and fairly comfortable.

GermanyBreakfast was mediocre and the room too small for the number of people. One room had no AC and was very hot. We could not open the windows because of the noise from the main street in the evening and morning. Parking was difficult in the tiny, small lot between buildings.
The K&K room was very spacious and had an interesting decoration. The hotel location was awesome. History all around you. Also the staff was always friendly and helpful.

SwitzerlandThe smell of human excrement emanating from the toilet. So, so hot in summer, in a room facing the Main Street.

GreeceThe condition of the room was utterly deplorable, causing us to feel nauseated and prompting us to take immediate action. The bedsheets were littered with an excessive amount of black hair, as clearly evident in the accompanying photos. Furthermore, the inconvenience of the reception closing at 22:00 left us unable to address our concerns about the room's appalling state. To our dismay, the room's decor consisted of hockey jerseys, leaving us puzzled as to how this could be considered a luxurious setting. Adding to our disappointment, there was no refrigerator provided. Despite selecting a room with two single beds, they were oddly connected, rendering them inseparable. This left us pondering the purpose of offering a room with two single beds in such a configuration. It would have been more practical to have a queen or king-size bed instead.
The hotel's breakfast offered a European Continental experience. Nestled in the heart of the city, the hotel enjoys a prime location with convenient parking facilities.
