Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaNo wifi in the hotel. Clunky room key is a pain
Location was fabulous - only steps away from the major siights of the old town. Hotel had a fast and resposive elevator. Desk staff were helpful and the desk was manned 24 hours which was handy for getting a 5:00 am cab to the airport. Restaurant attached to the hotel was very nice. Room had AC but you have to make sure the windows are fully latched or it won't work

United StatesFantastic location right off Graben a major pedestrian only street loaded with shops and restaurants. Less than 5 minutes walk to St. Stephan’s Cathedral. Just about anything we wanted to see was within walking distance of hotel (Museum Quarter, Danube River, Spanish Riding School etc.). When we went further out to Schönbrunn Palace and the Vienna Technical Museum we took Uber, which was pretty reliable and affordable. There is a U-Bahnstation literally 2-3 minutes from hotel. The room was decent size with two big armoires. Staff were very nice and the in house Italian restaurant was good. Our room was about 270 square feet, which was very comfortable.

BulgariaThe breakfast was acceptable, BUT - every time I ordered a black tea, expected to bring me a small teapot with hot water and a bag of black tea separately - nothing like that - the cup was filled to the top with hot water and a tea bag was floating in it and was nowhere to pour the milk. I hope someone will teach the staff how to serve tea at all - English style! The double room is very small - OK for a single use only, but for two is very narrow. The rooms are very outdated and basic furnished. The rooms look like they're from an old movie filmed before 1898 somewhere in a communist country, especially the locked fridge, very small TV screen, bathroom and basic furniture. If you stay for one night is OK, but for more that one-two nights id a little bid depressing.
Central Location!

LithuaniaRoom was rather small, but had everything we needed and was really charming. So not really a complaint - just if you traveling with large suitcases they might take up all room.
Hotel was very nice, room was charming and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Light fixtures and furniture were old fashioned and we loved the look. Bathroom was updated, clean and very comfortable. Cleaning staff were very efficient and everyday cleaned as soon as we left for town - we enjoyed comming after lunch to a clean room. Breakfast had a good selection of food and personel made coffee to order - we loved our food and coffee. Hotel is located in close proximity to museums and old town - you can walk to a lot of attractions. We also loved old time charm and old fashioned real keys - was fun to actually lock the door for a change.

LuxembourgThe area around the hotel is one of the most popular in Vienna, so it can get crowded.
A small, cozy and comfortable hotel, tucked away in an alley off the "Graben" shopping street, opposite the (in-)famous Cafe Hawelka. 3 min. walk from the Stephansdom, and 5 min. from the Hofburg, it's located about as central as it can get. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent.

NetherlandsThis hotel is offering small, dated and overpriced rooms with view on the wall and bars on the window in centre of Vienna. I have paid 150 euros/night for a small room without breakfast. I had a bars on my windows with a view on a dirty wall with garbage bins right a front of it. Early in the morning people started to move those around with a lot of noise , so ,no rest of good sleep for me as well! Furthermore, during my stay there was renovation going on ( November 2024) Therefore , strong smell of paint in corridors.
Central location and historic building ( like many others in Vienna). restaurants and shopping street is less than one minute distance from the hotel.

BulgariaThe breakfast was poor and space where the breakfast is placed is quite narrow. Very humble variety! The tea was served in a very strange way - just the tea bag in the cup and the cup was full with water - no place where to pour the milk. Even no croissants! Two many staff in the narrow space designated for breakfast and difficult for guests to pass each other. Part of the check-in procedure is taking 30 euros deposit for mini bar from a credit card. The deposit was taken immediately from my card, and 2 days later it still has not been returned to me.

United StatesThe other 3 staff members I dealt with were very stand offish and rude. I met up with a friend on my last night and it got really cold so I said we can just hang out in my room so we weren’t freezing. Well the gentleman at the front desk acted very annoyed, verified that I paid for a room there and then proceeded to tell us that I couldn’t bring my friend up to MY room that I PAID for. Since when does a hotel get to tell a customer that PAID for that room that they can’t bring anyone else inside? Never heard of anywhere having that policy and I found it to be ridiculous. If the staff member explained nicely that that was their policy for such and such reasons I would’ve understood. But unfortunately he was rude about it and just said “you can’t go up.” In a rude tone. No more explanation. That was disappointing and I will not be returning to this hotel.
Good location, comfortable room, and liked the atmosphere. One of the staff members was wonderful and kind and gave me a free upgrade when I extended my stay
