My room stated it would have "city views", it did not, it had views of dirty net and pigeon wire and the side of the building. It was very hot but having the window open meant a lot of loud noise so sleeping was difficult.

The staff were very nice and the location was good (very near the 2 tram stop).

It was a bit noisy most mornings with dustcart and street cleaning. The double glazing would have probably kept out most of the noise as it seemed quite effective. It was so hot we had left the windows open. We knew it didn't have air conditioning so that was a choice we made.

Lovely hotel with period features. I loved the lift with a seat. The room was spacious with a seating area and small table. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty with scrambled eggs and sausage in addition to the vast contental selections. The staff spoke good English and the entry details for late arrival were good. It is centrally positioned for the Town Hall and Volksgarten. Felt very safe and good access to transport. Will be better when U2 underground extension is completed.Good value for money .

I loved the place and all the staff, they were very kind and always with smile on their faces. Breakfasts were perfect. The hotel is in the city center but still in a quite calm street which I really appreciate.

Considering the typical heat in July, it would have been beneficial to have air conditioning in the rooms. We requested a fan, which provided some relief while we were in the room.

We were delighted to discover a spacious and well-lit room on the second floor of the hotel. The staff at the reception was exceedingly cooperative and polite. Although the reception closed at 6 PM, everything was efficiently managed, and there were no issues whatsoever. The hotel's location is superb, just a single train stop away from the Parliament building, which can also be reached on foot in just 10 minutes. There are numerous restaurants and at least two shops conveniently located nearby. We enjoyed a satisfying breakfast with a variety of options that catered to different tastes. An intriguing feature of the hotel was its old-fashioned elevator, which added a unique charm to our stay.

Excellent stay. A basic facility that did all of the important things exceptionally well. The staff were fantastic, both at the desk and in the dining room. The breakfast was really good. The original elevator was a treat. Finally, the location can't be beat. We will be back.

We experienced a lot of early morning noise from builders working outside. However, we do realise that this is not the hotel's fault.

The hotel is conveniently located for tram, cafes and restaurants and close to the city. The room was spacious and adequately equipped. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast offered plenty of choice. The hotel has a number of character features; including ceilings, doors and a beautiful old lift.

There’s no air conditioning and we happened to stay during a hot period. We managed by closing the curtains during the day.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was continually refreshed and offered a good choice. The room was comfortable. The location was good. It takes about 25 minutes to walk to the art district. In fact we walked everywhere. There is also a good choice of restaurants nearby. Furthermore it’s on a quiet street.
