Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Beautiful room, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is fantastic. Location is perfect. Walking distance from town centre. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is on site and that is very convenient. We will come back.

The charge for the bikes, i had thought they were included in your stay. They charged 5 euros per bike which I feel should of been free. The bikes were old and very difficult to cycle. The sofa bed was incredible uncomfortable , the bedding was very sparse.
We loved the spa, how quiet the hotel was, the friendly staff.

The bed was a bit too soft but overall cosy.
Lovely butique hotel with a cosy homely feeling and details. While the room is a bit on the smaller side it is extremely cosy and has everything you need. Loved the tea/coffee bar and music. Tv has a couple of english channels you just need to switch the audio since Austrians dub everything. The bathroom is also great with everything you need. Breakfast selection was wonderful (deli, cheeses, various cornflakes, pastry, different types of bread, freshly squeezed juices, eggs and coffee/tea to order included.. maybe a suggestion: add hot dogs or bratwurst) and the staff is very kind.

The property was designed so well, with beautiful decor & furnishings, like an elegant home. The staff were welcoming & friendly & the location was perfect. Slightly beyond the old town in a quet street but a 5 min walk into town/main streets.

Everything was excellent. The cleaning lady was a bit uncivil with us :( but the rest of the staff was amazing and very tasty restaurant as well. Would recommend it

The only thing we didn't like was that the room didn't have a great place for luggage without completely unpacking, but that is just a minor detail as the entire stay was wonderful.
The cleanliness, amazing staff, and wonderful breakfast were just some of our favorites. The bar in the evening was also very enjoyable. Perfect location - short walk to scenic parts of Salzburg while being away from the hustle and bustle.

I loved the Spa area - on top of the hotel, overlooking the city. There were snacks as well as tea and chilled drinks. I don’t think I have ever seen such a thoughtfully created Spa area in a hotel. Also, the breakfast was incredible. There was so much to choose from. All was very good and tasty.
