We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomRoom cleanliness not to the standard of a 4* hotel - bedside tables and central unit were dusty and dirty on arrival. A personal touch welcoming guests to a hotel is nice but should be kept to inside the room, rather than a guest’s full name displayed on a chalk board outside the room for all to see. Lack of privacy in the room with windows directly into the courtyard. There is a clear view into the room if the light is on and curtains are open. (Hotel disregarded it when an earlier review mentioned but I also found this to be the case).
Great location, very central but on a quieter side street. Walking distance to most sights and close to transport links.

United KingdomNothing could have been better. It far exceeded expectations. The only thing was it would be good if the tv in the room was a smart tv so we could access Netflix etc but it’s not a major issue….just would be nice.
Everything was fabulous. The staff were exceptionally friendly and hard working. We just loved the decor and ethos of the hotel and the welcome note on the board outside our room. One of our favourites ever.

NetherlandsNot entirely as advertised, small things like there not being a kettle in the room, and no power outlets next to the bed (there are but they switch off with the lights). The entree is difficult to find, they seem to be working on it. Personnel seems more focused on each other and can be quite loud in that. I would also like to be able to get coffee somewhere (after breakfast). Minibar is very expensive, a small bag of crips does not cost 5 euros. The bathroom needs some renovation and the shower switches from hot to cold.
The general design is nice. Breakfast is excellent.

ChinaThe shower door is transparent, which is a problem when staying with a friend, as there is no privacy. One person had to wait outside the room while the other was showering. The room was located on a half-sunken level next to the rooftop garden, with the window facing directly towards the garden. This raised concerns about safety and privacy, so we had to keep the window closed and the curtains drawn at all times.
The design of the hotel is excellent, and the service is friendly. The breakfast is delicious, and the location is convenient, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station.
