Airconditioning in the room didnt work and, as usual, the entire hotel is heated to about 10 degrees hotter than one might want. The powered vent in the bathroom didn't work either (Odd: I'd guess 80% of hotel bathrooms suffer from this!)

Location: right beside a 'U1' Metro Station. The shower was awesome! Good front desk staff. 10min walk to the Belvedere. A couple of good eateries close by

It was a bit chilly in the room but we promptly got extra duvets as well as pillows when we asked for it.

The location is amazing, you can reach most of the city attractions by foot, there are a lot of nice cafes and restaurants around. The room is very big and comfortable!

No need to call or knock on the door of my room 30 minutes before check-out.

This hotel is absolutely in the style of Vienna. It harmoniously complemented my enjoyment of this trip. I liked everything: the location and design of the hotel, the friendly staff, my room and the presence of a Julius Meinl capsule coffee maker. I also recommend the breakfast at this hotel. I'll be happy to come back.

The only thing missing was the lovely music playing in the breakfast room. Apparently, the stereo system was broken. On my last day I believe it was fixed. Next time I hope to hear beautiful music by Johann Strauss every day!

Rebecca at reception was very nice and helpful. Wasim was great and printed off a schedule for the train to the airport. Jerry was always wishing me a good day when I saw him in the lobby. Anja was very kind by answering my questions by email. I appreciated the wake up calls. In the breakfast room Jamel and Thomas were very attentive. Jamel made me sandwiches the day of my departure as I was pressed for time. I had a lovely birthday breakfast with sparkling wine, cake, candles, and even some singing! It was very special to find chocolates on my bed later on. The chambermaids were very cheerful and made the room sparkle. I never ran out of towels, toilet paper, or body gel. Everything was very clean. I loved the giant bathtub : ) I will definitely be returning to the Johann Strauss hotel on my next trip to Vienna!

Nothing worth mentioning

Location is great, very close to metro staion. The room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Receptionists were polite and helpful. Breakfast didn’t have much variety but it was more than enough for me. I will be definitely coming back to this hotel when I come to Vienna.

The desk area could have done with a lamp.

The location and comfort; I was attending a course nearby and didn't like the accommodation provided. I initially was only going to stay for five nights, but two days later I came back for a further five nights. This was in August and it was very reasonably priced. I would recommend the hotel to anyone going to Vienna, for business or pleasure. I didn't have their breakfast so can't comment on that.

It's in a great location. The room was very comfortable and quiet and the staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. It's a nice place to stay close to the subway and a nice walk from Karlsplatz.

The only thing I did not like was the pillow. It was too flat and small. However, I asked for another one and they provided it quickly. I was on the first floor so I had to keep the curtains shut because I could be seen by the people passing by or living in the building opposite. That was a bit inconvenient.

The breakfast itself was OK. Choice of foods etc. But the service in breakfast area was honestly much below the level I have experienced for years - no spoons, no cups, empty jars, unprepared tables, hectic service here and there.
