This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. Location is absolutely beautiful facing a small town square full of character but so quiet. Rooms look to be recently renovated too. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was beautifully prepared right up there with the best of the five star hotels.

Nothing to do with the hotel itself, but it's extremely busy in Hallstatt and parking can be a nightmare. Be prepared to walk to the hotel or wait for a shuttle.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. With it being a small hotel, we didn't have huge expectations, but I was blown away by the room and the staff. The upgrades and renovations make it feel cozy yet luxurious, and the room was very clean and comfortable. As we like quiet, the property was extremely quiet at night with the lovely white noise of the stream behind the hotel. Breakfast was wonderful as well. The owner was very kind and helpful.

It exceeded our expectations

The room was very comfortable, nicely decorated and warm. The bathroom was big and it had everything we needed. The location was great in the middle of the town, and the shuttle take you from the parking area to the hotel and back. There is a bar downstairs which is excellent for taking a few drinks before going to sleep. Breakfast was delicious and has variety of options. Thomas is a great host and take care of every detail. We enjoyed our stay there.

There wasn’t anything we disliked about the property.

I da Mitt is an exceptionally charming guest house right “in the middle” of the town square. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable and the staff were fantastic. We’re so glad we stayed here.

Would have loved a fan to help cool the room off at night when we wanted to shut the windows to cut down on noise from the street.

The location was perfect! Right in the middle of Hallstatt in a lovely little square. Walkable to everything. Thomas was an excellent host and his helper Ava was wonderful as well. Breakfast was excellent. There is a shuttle that runs every half hour during the day to/from the parking lot if you come by car. Hallstatt is one of the prettiest towns we've ever seen.

You can hear everything out the windows including church bells at 6a daily. Not sure if anything can be done about that though

Coffee making machine was hard work when making tea. A kettle would be better and the milk cartons need replacing more often to prevent the milk going off. Small things. I loved the place.
