Breakfast was varied however the coffee comes out of a machine that was quite bitter. We wouldn't book breakfast again as there were some lovely cafes within walking distance at fab prices

Nice hotel, near the christmas market but far from the centre

We were seeking a central hotel for a short weekend break. The Josefhof am Rathaus is perfectly located for enjoying the sights on central Vienna. The main centre, Imperial Palace and Museum Quarter are short walking distances from the hotel.

Some of the rooms haven’t been renovated so our room on our first night did not meet our expectations, especially as it was an expensive BH weekend to visit so the hotel wasn’t cheap The reception staff were very kind and moved us to a much nicer room which we were very happy with. Both were in superior room categories but quite different. Rooms look over an inner quad. Not a big deal in winter but we’d have liked an outlook in summer.

Staff excellent, couldn’t be more helpful Excellent breakfast Very comfortable beds. Clean Initially we thought it was a bit out of main old town - it was a 15-20 Minute walk to st Stephen’s but there were many other sights within 10 minutes. Lovely parks. Smart safe area. Very close to tram and underground stops. Very Christmassy and smelled lovely. Beautiful from front.

There wasn't anything we would of changed other than possibly being able to control the room temperature.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel. The location was perfect for the Christmas Markets and other attractions we visited. The hotel although central was very quiet.

One of the elevators went down for technical reason, so the back up one was getting quite busy which increased the waiting time for the cabin arrival to the floor

The tv was not smart so we had to stick with what was going on on the tv channels and the hair dryer was also not very strong so it was more difficult to dry your hair. The room only had windows in the direction of the sky so you didn't have a view to look on, but at least it gave a lot of privacy

The room was a good size, properly air conditioned and spacious. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was diverted and good.

A nice, clean hotel with attention to detail. The customer service is excellent, they were so kind and friendly. They gave us recommendations for places to visit and a list of restaurants and cafes to try which was great. The hotel has parking and is close to public transport which is very convenient.
