Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandWe stayed for 4 nights, but the wi-fi's availability was for only 72 hours. That was the only surprising inconvenience. Everything else was fine.
Excellent location, close to public transportation (bus and subway) and tourist attractions (Naschmarkt). Good quality-price ratio. Tasty breakfasts and kind and helpful reception service, speaking in English.

Estonia- a bit overpriced for a 2-star hotel - cleaning of the floor was weak
Hotel is very practical - just sleep and eat the breakfast :) and if you want to explore the old town, museums and opera, there is no need to use public transport. Perfect location!

GreeceThe only minus would be the lack of a mini fridge in the room.
Things I loved from staying at Kolping: 1. Close to city center, to main shopping districts and stop 4 of the hop on Hop off tour bus (right opposite of the hotel) 2.lively neighborhoods in close proximity but quiet area of the hotel. 3. BREAKFAST 🥞 4. Free luggage keeping 5. Last but not least, full body mirror 🪞

EstoniaIn two occasions a aisles were noisy due to some group guests - a teenagers group.
The location was exceptional. It’s near of everything like great bars and restaurants, plus, the bus station and any must see places. The breakfast was ok. The staff were nice, smiley and helpful. The cleanliness is a bit complicated; the bed was ok, the rest was clean but considering the age of our room and its appliances, some molds are detectable. All in all, considering the price, and me having OCD, it’s bearable but of course if I want to compare it to more expensive places, the cleanliness can’t be good. I can list things to improve like a the lack if a single glass for drinking tap water, or a kettle, but once again, considering the price for 2-star place with that location, the expectations would seem unfair.

LatviaWifi connection in our room was extremely poor, it almost wasn't there. It was a huge downside because all of the attraction and tour planning we planned to do in a room on the internet. It really made it very hard. Breakfast is very basic. Typical hotel continental breakfast, all ready from packages, mostly bread and things you put on it, almost nothing local and authentic except for apple strudel which was there on some mornings. During nights and in the mornings the street is pretty loud, so we had to close the windows but that way there was almost no air in the room. There was an air conditioner in the closet but we didnt use it because it was too loud.
The stuff was very kind and helpful - they even made a dinner reservation for us due to our lack of mobile connection. Room was cozy, clean and comfortable. There was also an air conditioner in the closet. Location is great - in a walking distance from city centre and Karlsplatz, 5min walk to subway station which after 4 stops take you to Schonnbrun palace and 2 stops to center. There is also a famous Nachsmarkt with lots of dinner options. Also many Asian restaurants, some Austrian kitchens and a super tasty vegan restaurant across the street. Super close is the Haus of meeres which I highly recommend to visit. It was our trips highlight. On 2 breakfasts out of 3 there were the famous apple strudel - nice and warm. We could also leave our luggage in the hotel on the day of our departure for free which was very useful.

UkraineIt was basic accommodation, and that in itself was not a problem. We understood that this is usually university student accommodation, and some services like laundry were not available to us. Not really a dissatisfaction, more an observation.
The staff were very amenable and helped out a lot. The location was great, a short walk from the train, and very close to Naschmarkt and also Mariahilfer Strasse. It was great for what we wanted. I liked the sunny terrace where we could take breakfast.
