Ideal location right in the middle on Mondsee! Wonderful breakfast buffet and an excellent restaurant for lunch and dinner meals (note the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Its a few minutes' walk to the Cathedral, the lake and lot of shops and restaurants. Easy parking on site. Family owned and operated. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating to our needs.

Breakfast had great variety with meat and eggs. Resort area was a great surprise exceeding expectations. Hotel was top notch. Wish we had booked longer in the area. If we travel again to that area of Austria, we will certainly stay for three days.

The reception staff members were polity, friendly, and welcoming. They ensured we had a quiet room and even found hair conditioner when I requested it ! The fish entree was excellent and breakfast was satisfying!

Excellent breakfast. They have a restaurant. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Parking is available behind hotel, and one block away for overflow. Location is close (within 5-10 minutes walking) to the Lake, several additional restaurants, an ATM machine and other businesses. Also, the church where the wedding scene in the Sound of Music was filmed is just a 5-minute walk away.

The only thing that I really REALLY found unpleasant, was a note on the restaurant menu, that if you wanted to share a dish, they would charge an extra € 1 for an additional empty plate. It did not apply for us, but such behaviour came across very greedy instead of hospitable, which we don't like.

Ideally located in the quaint town centre of Mondsee, only a 3 min walk away from the lake. We've been upgraded to a bigger room with a spacious balcony overlooking the town. The room has been clean and welcoming, the bathroom was spacious and spotless. I loved the big walk in shower. No tea/coffee making facility, no complimentary drink (water), but a well sizes fridge to store your own purchases. Nice in house restaurant with mainly local dishes at reasonable prices. Breakfast in the beautiful breakfast room was most enjoyable. A fantastic selection of breads, cold meat, cheeses, fruits, cakes, yoghurt, etc. 2 coffee machines kicking out all sorts of coffee varieties, teas and hot chocolate. Fresh veg was available to make your own smoothie. Egg dishes could be ordered at the table. Staff was overall nice and very welcoming, especially the young girl at the reception.

Honestly, can’t find anything to complain about.

Lovely alpine ambiance of the design, spacious room and bathroom, perfect mattress and pillows, the view, everything was just enjoyable!

This is a really good hotel, excellent in every way but I will especially mention the facilities for those travelling by bicycle - it has a dedicated, locked storage room for bikes with power sockets for charging e-bikes.

Don’t like the Austrian arrangement of 2 narrow beds not joined in any way .

The price used to be high for such hotel, but probably this is a new reality. SOme of the rooms are situated towards parking and restaurant, which means a bit noisy.

THe hotel is fine for visit of the lake. Nothing exceptionally wrong, but nothing exceptionally perfect. THe hotel is close to centre and to lake.
