Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI really liked everything about the hotel. It was quiet, very clean and welcoming. It wasn't the cheapest option but definitely worth it! Would 100% go back there.
The rooms have a very cute, old-fashioned decor which fits very nicely with the vibe of the city. We were welcomed with a small bottle of sparkling wine on arrival alongside candies and they surprised us with a lovely message and sparkling wine on the day of my birthday. Really could not have hoped for more attentive hosts!

GreeceNothing really, there is only one minor recommendation about having a second bin in the room.
The hotel was cozy, the staff was very helpful, there was a personal touch in everything. In the room, when we arrived we found a very nice pack with bonbons and the drinks in the fridge were complimentary. There was daily cleaning in the room and change of beddings every other day. Breakfast was very carefully selected, everything was high quality. The location was also very nice, we would get to the city center on foot.

AustraliaIf you’re a light sleeper be aware you can hear the trams at night. Didn’t bother us as not too loud.
Family run hotel, very helpful with transport options, places to see, things to do and restaurant recommendations etc. Room comfortable, has fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. Wifi was good. Location excellent. Easy 15 min walk to Hofburg palace. Tram 49 stops outside the hotel and takes you to the ring road. Looks further away from the centre on a map but is easily walkable. Easy to get to from Westbahnhof train station. Would stay again.

AustraliaThe only drawback is there was a bit of noise from the trams and the curtains weren't blockout.
We thoroughly loved our stay at this wonderful boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived, Alex went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. A big thank you to Alex who helped us recover our mobile phone which was left in the taxi on route to the airport. We couldn't have done it without you!! Our standard room was very spacious and comfortable and also included tea, coffee and a kettle. There were even some delicious biscuits on arrival in our room and the drinks in the fridge were free for us too!! The bathroom was very spacious too and the bed was super comfy!! A fabulous location right on the tram and bus lines. Cafes right outside plus supermarkets, bars and restaurants. We walked everywhere....to St Stephens Cathedral, the museums, the shopping malls etc.

United KingdomIt was on the tram route, so the rooms were a little noisy at night. Solo female travellers should be aware that there is no-one manning the reception at night (from 9pm) - this might be a consideration.
Good central location. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was clean.

United StatesIn order to tolerate the building's heat (it's quite warm, even with the radiator off), I needed the window open, so the trams are bothersome. There's no secondary lock on the door, so housekeeping got to see my tatas.
If you want to stay in the hip neighborhood of Vienna, this is the place for you. Second hand shops, photography exhibits and street art are just steps away, as is a main shopping promenade. The tram is literally out the front door (so ask for a courtyard room if noise is an issue for you), and the metro is 3 blocks away. The bed is quite comfortable and you get ample towels. The first offering of your mini bar is free of charge and comes with water, sparkling juice and a beer. Tea and coffee are available 24/7. On the second floor there's a sitting area with easy chairs if you want to read outside of your room/bed. The staff is eager to help and they'll email you suggested restaurants and events. Go to the schnitzel place just up the street. It's mom and pop, with HUGE portions. One schnitzel late me three meals!

AustraliaLovely little boutique style hotel, family run with lots of Vienna charm. Room was spacious with beautiful windows and views. There was some noise on the weekend nights but earplugs did the trick (they do supply some). Location wise was close to shopping street and a short walk to major attraction. If you want something unique and different to the big chain hotels this is it!

Excellent location. Neubaugasse neighborhood is great- can walk to all destinations. Great local shops, cafes and restaurants. Staff exceptionally helpful. Room faced the street so a bit of street noise at night if windows were open. Liked that the windows did open! Hotel is older but has comfortable character. Would stay here again.

Best check-in ever! Staff very welcoming and friendly. Clean as in the bedroom , as in the common areas. Bedroom cozy and romantic. Every train station and city landmarks are within reach (subway, bus, tramway,…). The neighborhood is lively and full of nice shops, restaurants,… Wien is so relaxing and beautiful: I’m in love!

Had breakfast only one day, but it was amazing! Eggs cooked to order and everything else you would want for breakfast. Our room was large and comfortable, no complaints. The location at first seemed like it was a little farther out than expected, but once we got there and realized everywhere that we wanted to go was within a reasonable walk, the perception changed. We didn't use the tram but there are multiple tram stops right in front and one block away from the hotel. The location was great!
