Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe only things I was missing from the room, were a kettle to boil water, mugs and spoons, but otherwise the room was well-equipped. The bed mattress was also great which enabled me to have quality sleep.
I didn’t have breakfast, but appreciated the option to have one. The staff was very organised and helpful every time I had questions or queries. They spoke English well so it wasn’t a problem that my German was not very good. Overall, the hotel is very pretty, clean and very central. There is a Billa just outside for shopping groceries, and it is only a 5 min walk from both the train/bus stations and the lake. There are also frequent buses to Kaprun (ski slopes) which take 20 minutes.

AustriaThe Kaprun kard was only available from 15:00 on the 1st day of arrival
Exceptionally central location; very cute room; sparkling clean floors. The upholstery on the sofa was a bit "used", but the room was totally worth it. Unfortunately we didn't get time to try the breakfast - I'm sure it'd have been great.

Czech RepublicVery poor breakfast, only one small window in the room so there was little natural light coming in, no fan (I didn't expect AC but a fan would have been great), the bathroom was very small but not a concern to me. While I would be out someone would come in to my room, although I had the "do not disturb sign" on the door, and open the window. And no, I didn't forget to close the window before leaving several times. I find this very disturbing.
I was given a free upgrade. The hotel is right in the town centre. The room was spacious, bed was very comfortable.

United KingdomSort from breakfast variety all was really good
Very good location, beautiful hotel, maybe a little more variety for breakfast and more hot food such as porridge as it is a cold environment. Our Salzburg hotel provided hot bacon, Austrian sausage and a variety of hot cooked eggs in comparison. Apart from that very good hotel and we really enjoyed the stay

GermanyThere is no parking, you have to pay 15 euros to the hotel per day. I was hoping for air conditioning, as the month of July is hot and unstable in Europe and you need an air conditioner.
The location is in the center of Zell am See, everything you need is found on the site and close to the lake, entertainment and various restaurants, in addition to the restaurant and meals inside the hotel and the receptionists were very kind and welcoming to the guests. There were celebrations at the same time that I stayed at the hotel and all the people were cheerful and happy opposite the hotel there are outdoor seating overlooking the market, shopping centers and gifts.

LithuaniaInternet could be a little better. Went on and off sometimes, did not work by the window.
The employees are very friendly, helpful, always with a smile. The location is very convenient, you can walk everywhere from there. The rooms were cleaned every day. It's nice that the breakfast table is always the same, so you don't have to think about where to sit. The breakfast itself is quite varied.

AustraliaNo kettle or fridge in room. Rooms a bit small - but managed ok. Modern Shower was a bit difficult to turn on but got there eventually.
Location, helpful and friendly staff, lift, near railway station, quiet, new. Big thanks to the African male that helped me get my pendant after it fell behind the cabinet in an awkward spot. He certainly went out of his way for me and finally I got it back. It was my lucky charm.

United KingdomThe breakfast was a little disappointing. There were different types of bread but no croissants or brioche or breakfast pastries.
All guests were allocated a table for breakfast for their stay. Our dog was made extremely welcome. We were given a tourist card which entitled us to free use of boats, trains, buses and cable cars. The situation in the centre was very good. Good and well priced bistro type menu during the day and evening.

AustriaThe materass was too soft and a bit old. Despite it was cold especially at night and it has heavily snowed in the surronding mountains the heating was not turned on. I understand it is a cost but the room temperature should be comfortable: one should not wake up in the middle of the night feeling cold.
Spotless clean historical hotel right in the center of Zell am see. Despite being dated the room's decor has his own charme. A cozy vintage wellness is available in the afternoon with a sauna at no extra cost. The receptionists are amazing and always kind and helpful. The atmosphere is nice. Staff often smiles at you. Considered the long stay and the loyalty as a returning customer I was granted a particulary cozy room with a nice view. Considered Zell am see exorbitant prices the rate is good, but not cheap.
