We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaRoom was very small and below ground. The street was right outside our room and all we heard were people walking past and talking. We could not have any natural light as you could not open the curtains as there was no privacy. It was claustrophobic and not pleasant. We did not complain as we were going through a stressful time as our trip was severely impacted by the severe weather and we could not get to Salzburg as there were no trains running. So we lost our hotel in Salzburg and had to stay an extra 2 nights in Vienna.

Czech RepublicThe hotel is close to the social center. You might meet weird people in the area (alcoholics, junkies). But if you don't interact with them you will be fine.
Great hotel, modern building, very friendly staff and really close to the U-Bahn (subway). The AC was really great. The hotel is around 20 minutes from the city center if you take public transport.

ItalyGood-level accommodation, but with a management that frankly does not meet four-star standards. We noticed many flaws, both large and small, during our one-week stay. Firstly, the breakfast: while the savory items were excellent, the sweet options were very lacking. For example, there was nothing resembling croissants or pastries, only various types of bread. Additionally, there was nothing local, neither krapfen nor any kind of cakes. This is quite insufficient for a four-star hotel. Moreover, there were difficulties in obtaining teaspoons, which were very few relative to the number of guests, and the coffee and hot beverage machine was undersized, requiring a stroke of luck each time to get coffee and/or milk. Then, the broken hairdryer in the room, which was reported, roughly fixed, and then broke again after two more days. The room had a sliding bathroom door that didn’t close, effectively creating a single space with the bedroom (not ideal from both an environmental and hygienic perspective). The shower was at floor level, without any separation or cabin, which I really dislike as it tends to flood the area (again, not ideal from a hygienic standpoint). The worst aspect, however, was the room cleaning service. A tablet is provided to request daily cleaning. It’s pointless to answer "yes," as the cleaning is always cursory. We experienced situations where all the towels were taken and only the shower towels were replaced (not the hand towels). We even had an instance where, after leaving the "Please, clean my Room" sign on the door, we returned in the afternoon to find the room exactly as we left it, with a response from a housekeeper that cleaning was not scheduled for that day. Furthermore, there was never any vacuuming, never a wipe of the sink, and toilet paper was not always replenished. Overall, the service was as approximate as can be imagined and frankly not worthy of a hotel of this (presumed) level.

HungaryIt doesn’t look like a 4 star hotel.. Don’t have pair of slippers that usually have in most of 4 star hotel or even in 3 star hotel, the bathroom and the toilet shares the door. The bathroom and the sink don’t have separation so the floor will be full wet once you take a shower..
Clean and The breakfast was good and delicious.

IrelandA lot! To say some: 1) Lack of interest/ability to accommodate changes. We were 3 people, in 2 rooms. Made the booking for both rooms for 2 days, then, like a month before arriving I extended the stay to 3 nights. Well, they weren't able to give us both rooms together (even requested more than a month before arriving) and they weren't even able to create a booking for the 3 nights. We had to go to reception to change the keys. First bad detail. 2) Went to the rooms. We paid the same for both rooms, but the room for 2 people was bigger and had a big bed, and the room for 1 person was tinier and had a small bed. When complained they said that was the individual room and nothing they can do. Maybe I'm crazy but if I pay the same I want the same product! Next time I'll say we're 4 in the group, that way the third person will have the room he paid for!!!! 3) It might be the first hotel I go without a wardrobe and without refrigerator in the room. Unacceptable for a so called 4 star. 4) One room was made ("made" means for them preparing the beds, not to clean) one day. The other room wasn't touched for the whole stay of 3 days. 5) I would love to meet the genius that decided it was a good idea to have only one door for both the bathroom and the shower. So if you're doing your needs in the toilet, either you have to keep the door open or the other person has to shower with the door open. Also, when you've done your business, you have to go to the other place to wash your hands (Bravo!). Have you taken into consideration that not only married couples can go to your rooms? As said, unacceptable. 6) I've read it in other reviews and they made the same to us, they tried to charge us with more breakfasts than the ones we had. Beware and have your numbers ready. It looks like it's not a coincidence... Would say more but have no space. We simply won't come back to this hotel.
Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are big, and although your room can be very close to train tracks, it is very well insulated so you won't notice the trains. Also good communication with the city center via U6 and U4. Breakfasts are good. They're very expensive even for Vienna (although that's subjective, the hotel has all the right to put the price they want) so we tried to have it in the city center instead when we could but regarding the quality I can't say nothing bad.

SlovakiaThe locality is not very pleasant - dirty streets, and lots of homeless / drug addicts. Parking 25 € day - not overpriced but for longer stays I'd recommend a nearby P+R (8-10€ per day).
The room was comfortable, quiet (surprisingly, as the street is very busy) and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The staff was helpful and kind. There is a cycling/running path nearby that leads to Schonbrunn. You can find a workout place in close proximity to the hotel.

SerbiaWe had a fantastic stay here. The location of the hotel is perfect. 5 min walk from the metro station U4 which will take you the Karlsplatz and 5 minutes walk from U6 as well . Also tram 18 which will take you to the main train station, where you can take train to the airport. Everthing was clean. The bad is really comfortable. We will stay in the hotel again for sure.

GermanyThe room design was horrible. There was a partition between toilet and bathroom without any hand wash basin in the toilet. Though there was a partition you could not use both in parallel as there was a sliding door with which you can close either the toilet or the bathroom. There was no wardrobe to store clothes, just some hangers.
The location was good. Easy to get to tram/metro station.

Romaniathe sliding door for the bathroom and restroom was not my favorite thing, especially on the night when if you have the curtains open and 2 people need to use the rooms :), but I understand was needed to save some space than a regular door
The room was nice, i took a room with a balcony for just a small fee and the view was very nice, and impressive spacious ( not all balcony was the same size) The metro stations was just a few minutes walk

United Arab EmiratesHousekeeping service is way below standards. our 3 rooms were not consistently cleaned nor made up. The rooms do not have any closets or drawers and no fridges. The design of the bathroom is not convenient at all. Worst design I have experienced among more than 100 hotels I stayed in.
close to the U line and the reception team especially Luka, Nada and Ray were very helpful and understanding.

RomaniaVery poor Wi-fi coverage with low speed (only 1 line of wi-fi anywhere in the room is not acceptable). In terms of facilities, for a 4 stars hotel there is definitely a need of a mini fridge in the room. The double room could have been a little bit more spacious, and the TV was not aligned in front of the bed, and the support was not adjustable making watching the TV from the bed a nightmare. Very bad design of the bathroom - Walk-in shower with no curtain/glass, it's impossible not to splash water all over the bathroom and there will be puddles next to the sink that won't go to drain because that part of the room floor is flat.
Location was great, very close to 2 U-bahn stations and also tram/bus (less than 5 minutes of walk). Room was clean, staff was friendly and the room was cleaned every day. 12:00 hour for check-out gives you enough time to pack your bags without worries. You could leave the bags at the reception for free if you arrive earlier than check-in hour.

Switzerland- The bathroom and shower were sharing one door, meaning if one goes to take a shower, the bathroom will be wide open to the room (and all dirty particles could fly to the room and bed). Even if the shower was not used and we tried to close the bathroom door, still there was a few centimeter gap (door couldn't fully close). Who designed this junk shared door structure!? - The breakfast had very limited options (e.g., no pancakes) - The location, though a few stations away from city center, was infamous for being the center of addicts. - No mini-fridge in room, to cool some water in such hot days to drink during the night. - No closet or hanger for clothes. We used our suitcases as a storage during our stay.
- The room air conditioning was a life saver in Aug hot days. Also there was a coffee machine. - The staff were helpful.

United KingdomDodgy area, don’t walk around alone at night. Rooms DO NOT all have a city view- we were looking directly at a train bridge in our first room, was very noisy when trains went past. Highlighted this and the fact it says city view- Moved to a different room looking at another building. Maid emptied bin but did not change towels or swap out dirty mugs, when reception asked regarding this made no apology or attempt to rectify. Please note the bathroom has a sliding door so you can have the door ‘closed’ ( it doesn’t actually close) over the toilet, or over the shower & sink- not particularly hygienic!
