We would have welcomed more advance notice that entry would be by code sent by text at the stated time of arrival and that there would be no reception. Note no coffee/tea making facilities in room. While we were there, the local fire brigade had a street party meaning access to the hotel car park was blocked for 1.5 days - some communication to alert us to this would have been welcomed.

Luis von Weyden is like an unstaffed hotel except for someone on breakfast serving duty (to make scrambled egg, clear tables). We received a code by email at our stated arrival time to let ourselves in. The room was large, with a good sized bathroom and separate toilet. There was aircon (which we needed to put on occasionally even though it was May). The location was handy for heading around the lake (by car). Rooms large, clean and serviced daily.

Our room was next to the breakfast room, so since early morning we could hear other guests heading for breakfast which was little bit distubimg, especially when we wanted to sleep a bit longer to enjoy our stay.

One small detail, even thought there were radiators in the room, we were told to warm up the room with an airconditioner. Which seems to be a bit strange, when it is -6C outside, so it was a bit chilly in the room.

Hotel is clean and nicely decorated. Location is good, 30 min walk to the lake with amazing views! Free parking is available on site. Breakfast is good. Checkin was very easy and fast, we got all the instructions online. Pets are allowed.

There were lots of flies in the breakfast room, and no covers on the food, so there were items completely covered in flies some mornings.

Very complicated access to the hotel. Lock codes are only provided on the same day by e-mail, without prior notice. Codes do not always work, code locks do not work well enough. The rooms in the hotel are arranged without any information, making it confusing to find them. There is a smell of sewage in the corridors. The soundproofing is particularly poor, which prevents you from getting a proper rest due to the noise coming from the adjacent room. There is no normal ventilation in the bathroom.

The property is presented as a higher quality one, but their single-bed room no.7 is horrible, it should not be rented for money at all. There is no normal window, only a roof window which is very high so you cannot reach it to open it. Excessive noise in the hallway and stairs, probably from some or freezer or something, makes nearby rooms no. 1 and 7 noisy. The whole building has weird architecture. Although it is quite big, almost all rooms are under roof with partially sloped ceiling.

Late check-in is possible and easy Berakfast is high quality and in a very nice restaurant
