Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Great place with young, good vibe! Good bed! Unfortunately the vinyl records in the room were too old to play and there was no minibar. Wonderful breakfast though!

We had an amazing stay here! Room was so lovely, spacious and clean. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Only complaint would be that the room was very warm and the air conditioning didn't work. However I would definitely stay here again!

Some small issues (WC water kept running until you managed to shut it down, you cannot load telephone and keep the light on at the same time, lack of soap on bathroom wall, noisy ventilator) did not allow to put max points, but in overall it was OK. In the evening the hotel restaurant was very popular and busy, so you'll have to book a table before, but beware that your dinner could be quite expensive.
Rustic style design-hotel with a photo-boot in the lobby plus turntable and and basketball ring in your room. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Extremely good breakfast with plenty of food and drinks incl self-made juice. Friendly service. Not very close to metro, but not very far from centre - about half an hour by foot to Volksopera.

Nothing not to like.
Funky hotel, nice decorations. Fantastic public transport connections and wry easy to get to all the popular sights. Restaurant lovely, accommodating of allergies. A chilled vibe hotel in a quiet part of town at night. Beds comfy, record player in the room a quirky addition. Excellent staff, friendly, helpful and great advice. Lots of restaurants and pubs nearby too. Easy access to local supermarkets as well. Super value for money.

The room was spacious but in need of renovation. Breakfast was of good quality, but the menu remained unchanged throughout our stay, which made it feel repetitive. While the selection of hot dishes was limited, the waffles were delicious.
The hotel has a stylish and aesthetically pleasing design, with beautiful spaces and a great location in the city. A special highlight was the night receptionist, who was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay more enjoyable.

For those who appreciate this kind of hotel design, very good choice. It was not really my style. We stayed 2 nights in the hotel and made check in late, around 22:00. The guy in the reception told us that nobody would clean the room the next day, only within 1 day- so the day we make checkout, and then the room would be cleaned. Not for us though, for the next guest. I find it strange, even though we made check in late, it doesn’t mean that we can’t have the right to have a room cleaned.
It situated in a very nice area, we lived it, quiet, artistic and very interesting! It takes 30 min walking till the city center. The room was big with a very beautiful stylish bathroom. There was a lot of choice for the breakfast, and really nice staff. Also there was a kettle in the room.

Only minus is that we had to spend some time in our room as my partner was sick and the TVs in the hotel are old non-smart TVs so we didn't have anything to watch.
The staff were very helpful, breakfast was tasty and overall the hotel is nice.

TV wasn't great for non German speakers e.g. no cable and no method to stream to TV or open Netflix. Shower wouldn't stay on. Wasn't a proper double bed, two singles pushed together but there was an uncomfortable gap in middle

I get the concept of trying to be quirky but unfortunately it feels less shabby chic and more like a student room! The room was not particularly clean and was meant to be cleaned every 2 days but not touched for the 3 days we were there. Control for heating broken. Huge window in bathroom was plain glass so you had to make sure the fabric curtain was well closed so the neighbours couldn’t see in! Poor ventilation in bathroom, mirrors steamed up quickly. Poor room facilities for a 4 star- no charging points, 3 teabags but no coffee or milk etc. towels old and shabby. Really disappointed in the room.

Our room could’ve been better ventilated, it was a little humid, requiring us to open the window and the towels didn’t really dry.
We liked the breakfast offering and particularly the availability of oat milk at the coffee machine/cereal station. The hotel was well presented and some thought had been put into the design. The location was perfect for us, surrounded by cool coffee shops and independent businesses.
