Shower in bathtub had leaky panels so entire bathroom was filled with water. The laminate in the room was put on an uneven floor making it very noisy and bouncy to walk on.

I can’t think of anything.

I’m from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Our rooms were clean, big and luxurious. The staff were superb - friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and the location was so central it was easy to step out and go to the square and nearby cafés and bakeries for breakfast and coffee in seconds. Had a great stay in Graz and the hotel was a huge factor in this.

The night bar should be bigger, because we couldn't get any drinks at 22.00, because the bar is so small. It was a pity that hotel guests cannot get a table.

I loved the old stairs and the whole hotel, the spirit :-) Location is perfect in the center. Parking under the big shop, almost under hotel, very good price.

The floors were VERY squeaky. I was luckily on the top floor so I’m not sure how much of an issue that may be for others on lower floors. As a solo female traveller, my safety is highly important to me and I appreciate when my rooms have multiple security measures – my room only had a small push-in lock. It was perfectly effective, but a chain may have put my mind at ease more!

The room was simple but very clean and quiet. I was impressed by the lack of noise despite the hotel’s amazing location right next to Hauptplatz. My view was amazing, I could see the famous clock tower every morning!! Most city hotels have tiny showers due to lack of space but I was pleasantly surprised by the size and water pressure. Breakfast was enjoyable and, as a Brit, I was pleased with the tea station and quality of the tea bags (European hotels often get English Breakfast wrong…) I couldn’t believe how easy it was to get the tram direct from the train station to the hotel’s doorstep. Definitely the place to stay if you are wanting to explore Graz with ease!

Plumbing is understandably old, but the smell emanating from the toilet made the bathroom (and thus the bedroom) experience unpleasant. Had to keep the windows open during the stay.

Unfortunately, the rooms are very dated. While this is it of course partly the vibe of this hotel, creaking floorboards, creaking bedframes, lack of noise insulation on the doors, and details which just aren't thought out (switch for table lamp hidden behind the table, hair dryer opposite the mirror but right next to the bathtub), do not make for the most pleasant stay. On multiple nights we could hear guests coming home and talking loudly in the middle of the night. Also, on two nights, there was no cold water in our room, there was just hot water. However, the staff quickly provided us access to another room to use the shower.

Great location, inner courtyard nicely flooded with light and lots of plants. The room was pleasantly large, with an anteroom, separate bathroom and toilet. Very nice breakfast buffet, friendly and helpful staff.

We stayed for 4 nights. They refilled our water bottels and coffee machine capsules on the first day only and never again. Not even after a request. The wooden floor was extremely noisy and bathroom very small for a superior comfort room.

This is a wonderful property in the heart of town: suitably old-fashioned and relatively well-maintained.
