There was nothing I disliked really

I had a beautiful stay at Hotel Regina! My double room was very comfortable and lovely, with a nice view, wooden floors, comfortable bed and pillow. Plenty of room for myself and all my things. The air conditioner was extremely good! Very quiet and efficient. It was hot in Wien, but the room temperature was perfect. The sound isolation was pretty good. I didn’t hear any neighbors or staff outside the door. I did hear the tram driving by at night, but overall it was OK and I could sleep very well. The bathroom was equipped with a bathtub - extra points for that. I loved the area around the hotel. It’s beautiful and central, with quiet spots to sit and relax (like around the stunning Votivkirche). Loved the hotel building and the whole atmosphere, so wonderfully historic. Stefan Zweig used to live near the hotel and later stay AT the hotel during his visits in his hometown when he was living in exile. One of the main reasons I chose Hotel Regina was because they have their own restaurant downstairs. I had a few meals there (lunch and dinner) and the food was very good. They also have their own sparkling wine and I loved it! Everybody at the hotel was very nice and very friendly! „Wiener schmäh“ need not apply :) Dankeschön ihr Lieben! I‘m giving a 9-point rating instead of a 10 because of two things: 1) Breakfast could have been a bit more delicious for my taste and for the price (egg dishes and rolls were not the best), but it was still good and plentiful and was brought to my room on my request, which was great. Good coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, croissants and jams… 2) The water temperature in the shower was changing from hot to lukewarm and back, and needed a lot of adjusting. All in all though, it is a wonderful hotel! I loved it! And I absolutely recommend it!

Rooms were small, not at all like the pictures. Toiletries were empty. You have to pay for coffee pods in the room.

Bed was comfortable, breakfast was good and the view was excellent in one of the two rooms. Staff was very responsive, I asked for the toiletries to be replenished and they did so immediately!

Room provided did not match request made with booking despite message that they would try. Reception advised that there were no double beds in rooms that can accomodate parents and a child i.e. double bed with room for a folding bed. This seems unlikely. Breakfast was average. Weak coffee in jugs, no inividual yoghurts or cream cheese. TV was small.

When we arrived all of the shower and soap dispensers were empty and there was no coffee capsules. Had to ask for both.

Hotel is very central and a lot of walking distance from it. Rustic Viennese style but clean and refurbished. Big rooms, big bathrooms, friendly staff. Check in was easy. No non sense.

On one occasion a man came in from outside and, unbeknownst to us, stole money from my sister's purse. We only realised what had happened when another guest alerted us. This was not the fault of the hotel.

We loved the older style of the hotel, which was beautiful. The room was large and spacious, with a sofa, a table & chairs and a desk. We had dinner in the restaurant and the service was wonderful as was the food

Good location, close to public transport and in walking distance of quite a few attractions. Hotel was nice, clean and well run with the check in and out a pleasant experience.

We really liked the hotel. I stay with the family, was pleasantly surprised to find in the room separate hygiene needs for the child. The room was very clean. The location of the hotel is very good, sights are 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
