Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We had requested the superior room wit a city view. Our understanding was we would get that. However, on arrival we were given a dark room on the first floor with a view of mechanical equipment in the atrium. I complained and a different front desk person placed us in the room on the fifth floor with the city view. I feel like the hotel tried to slip us into an undesirable room because we had gone through Booking.com.
The room we ultimately got was great. A corner room with wonderful views.

Although it was the 2nd time visiting, the hotel didn’t meet our expectations. Super old, no amenities at all and extremely expensive 350€/night for absolutely no reason. Not in the city center.

The room was terrible and bed was so uncomfortable. There is no chance to fully close the window so that sunlight doesnt get in.
The breakfast was amazing and very nice. Service is really good.

The hotel is very central, but still very quiet at night offering great sleep quality. The view from the window is on the Votive Church - very beautiful. Aircon and WiFi are good. Breakfast is average - it is nice if it is included, but probably €25 is too much if you pay the spot.

The aircon was way too weak and it was impossible to sleep on the hot days of August. Also the rooms were much smaller than on the pictures and looked faded, with marks on the wall etc..

Room cleaning service is strange a bit - we found cleaning appliances in our room once after the returned back, clean towels were replaced without a great need, we had to ask for shower appliances every time and got only once during the whole stay. When we asked for a pot with hot water they seemed not so eager to do so…

The wi fi sometimes didn’t work to well in the room
Great place to stay in Vienna! I love that it’s close to the University and to the Shottentor U-bahn and Straßenbahn, making it super easy to just get anywhere in Vienna. Perfect single room for a solo traveler. Comfortable, clean, private room with private bathroom. Nice that they have a restaurant- I loved the Franz Joseph specialty cake and Schnitzel.

The breakfast was underpowered. A hotel of this overall standard should be competing with the best.
Hotel booked on the strength of its old-fashioned appeal (they don't hold with electric door locks and have actual keys), the traditional decor and unbroken Viennese family ownership history. Delighted to be allocated the Bosendorfer Suite with resident Bosendorfer grand piano. I was able to play Bach, Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven throughout our stay. What could be better? In the shadow of the impressive landmark of the Votivkirche and a nice little park, the proximity of the Ring and its trams and Metro make the Hotel an ideal hub for getting around Vienna. Excellent restaurant, too.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Regina in Vienna and would certainly aim to stay there again when I'm next in town. The location was great for the university and about 15-20 min walk to the centre, the breakfast was lovely and provided a wide range of options and the single room was a good size. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

To reach the hotel from the airport, the hotel organised a taxi for us - timely pick up, reasonable price, and very comfortable vehicle. Included hand sanitiser inside. Receptionists were polite and multi-lingual. Upon check-out, they immediately refunded the 60 Euro deposit, and were happy to look after our luggage for a few hours while we toured the city. Bathroom included adequate towels and practical extras. Excellent choice of hot and cold food for breakfast (included in room price), including great choice of bread, jams and honey(comb) and vegan options. Interesting historic feel to the building, with paintings, drawings, tapestries, or ornaments. Very convenient location, close to University buildings, Votiv Cathedral, and local transportation connections.

The room was not clean. I found strains of hair in the pillowcases, and in the bed linen. There were many stains on the red headboard, which looked like I am staying in a very rundown and old hostel.. I was very surprised to see it.. The room was very cold when I entered, I wish it could be heated a bit beforehand (for ex. the radiators can be opened before checkin). I didn't have a view as the window was very small and high on the ceiling.
The location of the hotel and the breakfast were great. Staff was kind.

Small rooms, very poorly furnished... The room on the 6th floor was very small, in front of the window from the outside there were stairs leading somewhere to the roof (if the window was open, someone could have entered the room via the outside staircase - a very unpleasant feeling) . Despite the fact that after 2 days I left the towel lying on the floor as a sign to please change it...the cleaning lady only picked it up and hung the wet on a hook (they did not change my towel during my 3-day stay). Average breakfast, there was no presso coffee machine. The position of the hotel and the behaviour of the employees was the only positive thing about the hotels. I would definitely not return to this hotel.
