Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

HungaryOur room was tiny and very dark on the first floor. The strangest thing is the inconsistency, I just don't understand how is it possible...because our colleagues payed less for their room on the 2nd floor and their experience was great, they had a huge suit, nice view, beautiful clean bathroom ect. But ours had a serious of issues... an old weird smell so tried to keep the window open all the time but it was facing a wall, so we had no natural light. The other important issue was the lack of cleanness: when we wanted to use the bathroom for the first time we noticed the water is not going down in the bathtub and when we moved the plug a a bunch of hair started to come up while I was standing in the water which was stucked due to the fact of someone probably shaved a whole cat in there. Then we called the maintenance and the guy came up tried to fix it which was nice, but he only did the desinfection after we specificly asked for it, he said the cleaning stuff was not around anymore and they would come the day. They indeed cleaned the following day but when we came back to the accomodation the sink was still clogged.. The breakfast service was unbearable because of the other guests, it felt like a retirement home, full of very rude and very old people in a rush to the grave. So overall the worst hotel experience, didn't worth the money, overpriced and depressing .

United StatesBeautiful historical building across the street from the stunning Votive Church. While small, the room was comfortable and furnished with beautiful traditional furniture. Breakfast had great choices and was served in a gorgeous setting with outdoor dining option. I loved the charming mural on the wall in the dining room.

United KingdomOne of my favourite places i've ever stayed at is the Hotel Regina, it is a very obviously architecturally beautiful building like most in Vienna but inside lies such a unique hotel, where it feels more like an antique mansion home instead of a hotel with a beautiful statue & paintings that look like they belong in a museum, if you love old buildings with character over modern ones this is the perfect place to choose, despite its aesthetic appearance, the building is also extremely conveniently placed being located in pretty much the centre of vienna being a few minutes walk from the city centre as well as other shops to buy anything you may need during your stay, it's also very close to the tram and train station so being close to them was very ideal for transport around the city, outside of its appearance, the hotel staff were very warm and welcoming during our stay with cheerful greetings and they were helpful in accomodating to anything we wanted or needed during our stay which we were grateful for in the end, I really cannot say anything more about this hotel except that it was perfect for me, I hope you take this review as genuine as it is :) I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in Vienna.

IsraelThe bed was broken. Although I upgraded to a better room (and payed 50€) more to a room with double bed. I got a room with 2 single bed. Also, room was including breakfast but the staff insisted it’s not - which was not correct. I didn’t have time to argue so just left without it. Also - coffee machine in the room was dirty and didn’t work. In the first room - the shower wasn’t clean and full of mold.

HungaryNothing really. I missed a shoehorn, but the reception sent it up to my room within 10 minutes.
Very good breakfast buffé served in a gorgeous room with mural paintings and crystal chandeliers. Splendid assortment of bread, cheese, marmalade, cheese..all you need to get a good start. The hotel is very conveniently located 5 minutes walk from major public transport hub. It is quiet at night and you get a good sleep in the comfy beds. The staff is very attentive. Genuine old European hotel hospitality and atmosphere present here. The room was specious with a wonderful view.

Australia1. Guests had to hand back room keys to the reception when leaving the hotel, and carry a piece of paper with them. When coming back guests had to show the reception that paper to get their room keys back. This was so inconvenient and inefficient, plus an obvious way of spreading the germs. 2. The ventilation fan in the bathroom made big noise but you could not turn off/on in your own room. It was set to turn off about 10.30pm but not back on till 8am. 3. The air conditioner in the room was noisy and again seemed to be centrally controlled. The machine never closed up and no indication light. If you turned it on it might work sometimes. The weather was ok so it was not my priority. 4. There was no easy channel to report a complaint. I suffered an unimaginable insult by one of the waiters on my 3rd day and only got apologised from a manager that didn’t supervise him. After further investigation I obtained the email address from his manager, which happened to be the hotel manager. So I went to my breakfast again on 4th day with an unresolved issue and an unapologetic waiter. I had to sit down and write a well structured email stating my case. I appreciated the hotel manager’s sincere apology but this incident ruined my holiday in Vienna.
Location and ambiance.

United KingdomUnfortunately our stay was ruined at checkout by one member of staff (Harald Gothe), who was VERY rude to us when leaving. He didn't explain anything to us about how the extra payments worked (as we had already put down a deposit), but when questioned, he seemed to get annoyed at us and continued to be rude. He then was happy to use MY card's contactless without showing me how much he was charging me and then did it again, even after me saying I wasn't happy about it. A real shame because the other staff we encountered were very pleasant.
Our second stay here, again, great location, nice hotel and love that it is dog friendly.

United KingdomParking was quite far away, but understand they can't do much about it in a big city.
Lovely hotel, in a good location, not too touristy, but close enough walk to most things in the city. Also, love that it is dog friendly. Staff were nice and helpful.

United StatesNo hotel parking, paid parking is available for 37 euros 10 min away. Air conditioning in our room didn't work and the hotel management and staff were rude and unprofessional in terms of handling this issue. I would definitely not recommend this place.

AustraliaThere was nothing I disliked or would change. The hotel’s aesthetic fitted my experience of Vienna.
Location was exceptional, and I was rapt to have a delightful view across the city and a mini balcony. I loved the authentic antique style and also the family history and memorabilia throughout the hotel spoke of the authenticity of the hotel. My room was small but beautifully appointed and there was enough space to doing my morning yoga. The capacity to set personal aircon preferences was appreciated (esp as the weather was stifling). I loved the lobby lounge areas and the breakfast was incredible. Staff were all lovely, extremely helpful, and clearly shared pride in their workplace.

MexicoThe room has a coffee maker, not a kettle. You can get hot water with the coffee maker, but it will taste like coffee. I don't like coffee. It took me about 10 cups to get rid of the caffeine taste. The only tea available was a black tea, in a capsule. I had my own tea. The bed has no bedsheets, only the duvet. It was too hot to use the duvet, too cold to sleep without a cover. Not ideal.
I was impressed with this hotel. The building is beautiful. It is in front of a church, close to the university. I had a shower and a bathtub. Breakfast was varied and tasty. It includes breads, cheese, fruits, eggs, sausages, hams, sweets and vegan options. There is a restaurant in the hotel. Cake is great. The staff was excellent. Wifi worked perfectly.
