Dormio was amazing. Spacious rooms, clean and hygienic. kids loved the play area. Only problem i found was that bed and linen were not changed everyday or alternate days which makes it difficult for long stays.

When we arrived and entered our apartment it was still dirty. So we had to go back down to the reception and were given a temporary accommodation in one of the chalets. This was a bit inconvenient because we came from a 12-hour drive (too much traffic on the road) from The Netherlands and we arrived in the evening, we were dead tired. The next day we had to pack again and move to the apartment. But the view from our apartment, and the apartment itself was super, so we forgot all the hassle. :-)

Everything was (almost) perfect. The location really makes up for everything. They have a swimming pool that the kids really enjoyed. They also have sports facilities, my family had fun with table tennis. When we were not indoors, the kids were playing in the big playground outside, with a stunning view of the lake and the mountains, and me and my husband loved staying there just soaking up all the beauty around us. Hallstatt is very accessible by bus from the hotel, the bus stop is a few meters from the reception. Other means of transportation is also available-- boat, train, bike or even walking if you're up for it (could take an hour or so with kids). By car is a bit challenging, but we saw people parking at a big parking space before reaching the tunnel (from Dormio hotel) and then they walk for about a kilometer (more or less) to the center, also a good option.

We LOVED our stay at Dormio for our very first white Christmas experience. The staff at reception were fantastic - always friendly and helpful despite being so busy. Our chalet was very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped for cooking, well heated and nice to have a fireplace. The Sauna room was fantastic and used it daily. It was a very memorable Christmas for our family. Thank you to the staff!

It was a bit expensive - would have been nice if they could include breakfast for the same price.

Great location with beautiful view of the lake and easy access to Hallstadt / cable car to the mountain and the train station as well. Ideal for travellers without their own car.

Only starting kit provided, so we were short of toilet paper, dishwasing liquid and tablets but that is nothing that would negativelly impact our stay.

Enough space for 4 families and 3 dogs. Bigger then pictures show. Private sauna was a great benefit. Common pool was used by kids on daily bases. Close to the local slope and right on the hallstatt see with beutifull scenery and 5km walk to Hallstatt. Parking right in front of the house.

I would suggest update the fitness room, was outdated. And would suggest make the sauna as partt of general access amenities, charging the small fee makes it feel a bit unnecessary

We were there on December 20-23, 12 people (including children) from Georgia and we are very satisfied. Everything was the best. Very attentive hosts, clean rooms, fabulous yard, very good service, excellent pool, etc. Many thanks to the administration for all this. We will definitely try to visit this hotel again. I recommend it to everyone, you will be satisfied.
