absolutely disgusting hotel and rude staff. they have the ac turned off in the whole building forcing you to crack the windows making the bells from the church even louder. room had a nauseating smell. half used shampoo bottles, and the bed was among the worst I’ve been subjected to.

The hard mattress made the bed a bit uncomfortable, so sleep wasn't of the best quality.

Location is absolutely perfect! Also, early check-in was available, which was great. Nice surprise waiting for those using towels more than one day.

Rooms were very outdated, not a pleasant odour throughout the hallways and rooms. When we checked in, our Air condition did not work, later that night our sink was clogging up even though we didn’t use it at all. Thankfully we were not there all day, only there to sleep but I would not be able to stay there all day… i understand I could have booked something better yet I had no time and booked it on the spot as it was one of our only option.

The location was great and that’s the only thing I really liked about the hotel.

The breakfast could be more varied. Although room listed as hypoallergenic, I still had allergy (I guess it’s too much dust). Wi-fi was very weak and unstable - it turned off without any notice few hours before check-out :(

Poor sound insulation, was woke up early in the morning by the sound of the door closing from others rooms. Before checking out in the morning, the cleaning staff unlocked the door without knocking and came in directly…

I went there with my motorcycle. While I was putting my stuff inside my room. I got parking ticket. one of staff was telling me put your motorcycle other side of the street, because I could get fine, but the problem here is other side is drawn by yellow line. in Austria you cannot park by sidewalk which is drawn by yellow line. the staff didn’t tell me and didn’t show me where to park. that’s how I got parking fine in my 30 minutes in Vienna. by the way I choose the hotel since in booking it says they have parking area. but when i go there they said they don’t know if their parking place will accept motorcycle… thanks to their staff I had to think about my motorcycle and parking fine and it’s process during my whole visit

After reaching the hotel around 4 pm , the minimum time to check in is 2 pm , hotel tells me that they are overbooked and can’t accommodate me.i was travelling alone and didnt want to switch place as i booked for the location. They asked me either i move to their sister concern hotel or cancel the booking ( where would i go) . The staff was not ready to listen on the request that i didnt want to switch first thing and they should have informed the guest before hand . No communication was made. Also the other hitel thought was 5 min walk was not as good as the hotel royal itself in terms of location( it was inside the street ) and the price on the site was much lower than what i had booked for.The manager though was polite and was ready for a small deduction in price . The other hotel’s staff was very courteous and were very very helpful.

The hotel they moved me to had a terrific and helpful staff but hotel Royal was rude.

lactations is great , room was okay when we are arrived at hotel after 2pm and the room is not ready plus after the staff said the room ready it seems the everything in rush for clean including the floor still have hair and the note and paper from previous customers.

1. The air-condition is not well adjusting. That was not possible to make it comfortable - it always blew on the bad (was trying to make the fan speed as low as possible but anyway) 2. I ordered a double bed room and they placed 2 single bed together. My request on double bed was replied as "if available" but I was not able to cancel without loosing the cost of the first night. We are a couple and to single beds are not the best solution although the beds themselves are not bad.

1. The location is great. The very center of the old town. 2. They have breakfast included. 3. The shower was good. Hot water with a great pressure.

One of the disadvantage's of the City Centre location was the possibility of loud drunks trying to get home in the wee small hours - was on the second floor at the front of Hotel - would have been quieter if my room had been across the corridor

Excellent Location very close to Stephansplatz U Bahn Station and loads of good shops and restaurants within a a very short distance. Room large and very tidy - Tea and coffee not complimentary, breakfast good and varied.
