Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesBig construction site directly across the street (which looks like it will go on for months and months) was an unattractive view and work starts at 7am Mon-Sat.
The reception staff and restaurant staff are all very friendly, courteous, efficient and helpful. The attractive paneled hotel restaurant serves very good traditional Austrian fare ,with an extensive wine list. The location is just outside the historic center - 3 minute walk, and the parking is on-site. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, but otherwise unremarkable. All in all, a good mid-range choice to stay in Innsbruck.

SingaporeThe pillows are too soft and its only 1 per person. At the moment, there's a construction work (of a building) going on just infront of the hotel.
Location - 5mins from train station, walking distance from halal eateries and groceries, walking distance from shopping centres and supermarkets, walking distance from alstadt and main attractions in the city The interior of the hotel which is very nicely decorated, welcoming and cosy. Check in and check out is a breeze. Very nice, efficient and friendly staff at the reception counter.

ItalyI was travelling with a colleague and sharing the room. A bathroom with glass walls and just a small courtain was not nice at all, also because it was not only the shower to be exposed, but the all bathroom.
Nice location, very close to central station and city centre. Parking inside the hotel is not free, but very convinient. Even if we were only at the second floor facing the stree, the room was really quiet.

LithuaniaGood location, good breakfast.
Property was on the repair. It was not announced when booking. The was a building in the same street direct in front of the property. It was difficult even to speak in the lobby, there was very dusty. However, room was clean, and was silent because of good windows. The breakfast was very good.

New ZealandWe didn't notice from the photos that some of the rooms (like ours) have a very small gap between the foot of the bed and the sliding door to the bathroom.
We stayed at Hotel Sailer 6 years ago and like the location for train travel and easy access to the historic parts of Innsbruck as well as the lift up the mountain. Since then the rooms have been refurbished to a high standard. The family-run atmosphere makes it friendly.

AustriaRenovation going on in the reception area - totally understandable, but it didn’t feel so celebratory among arrival. I was really missing a whole-body-mirror in my room.
Good location - close to the train station and center. Room interior was very new. Bed was very comfortable. Nice mountain-view from the room. Staff was very friendly.

BelgiumThe reception area was undergoing heavy renovation works - dust, hanging cables and lots of noise. Although the staff moved temporarily the reception itself there was mo way to avoid the ongoing works on the way to breakfast or on the way out. Nevertheless I gave a very good rating because apart from the renovations the hotel was very nice and comfortable.
The hotel is perfectly located in the center and provides convenient parking for an extra charge. The junior suite was large and clean, very comfortable for a family of 4. The staff was cordial and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.

United KingdomNot their fault, but a huge building project was going on over the road. Rather an odd experience where the waitress brought the wrong (more expensive and better) red wine. After we started drinking it, she came and took it and the carafe away and brought the inferior one. Resistant to the suggestion that as it was her fault and had been poured anyway, they should leave it.
Comfy room not too far from the centre and close to the station. Lovely garden where one could eat in warm weather.

NetherlandsThe check-in system could perhaps be simplified, but was certainly not a problem. There is a building site opposite the hotel, but because the hotel has air conditioning, we did not hear a thing.
The hotel has the charm of an old "Gasthof" but the rooms are modern and clean and comfortable (very comfortable beds!). It has a lovely outside restaurant, which unfortunately was fully booked on our first evening. Also the separate little rooms of the inside restaurant are very authentic and cosy. The staff did their best to arrange a table for us on our last night, although the restaurant was already fully booked. The hotel is great value for money, certainly compared with other hotels in the area, which were all much more expensive; even if they had been in the same price category, I would still prefer Sailer! Innsbruck railway station at walking distance, about 5 minutes' walk

SwedenBreakfast was rather unremarkable for the price paid. Bathroom design is certainly interesting as shown in the pictures , but too much on the extreme side for our liking after all.
The room was very clean and well kept. Hotel staff were friendly and accomodating during our stay. We really liked the location, walking distance to most things and the central train station. While there is a construction site outside the room was soundproof when the window is closed.
