Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyHotel is in a great location next to the main station. A metro stop to go to downtown is next by. Lobby and rooms are modern, staff is friendly. The negative: prices for food/drinks are on the higher end, especially the breakfast for 23€ is too much for what it is. I'd come back but without breakfast.

UkraineThe floor was very cold and there were no any slippers there.
The room is a bit small but has everything that you might need. The location is perfect for travellers who need a quick access to the railway station or to the airport shuttle. They have a luggage storage, where you can leave your belongings before your check in.

LatviaI picked this hotel because of its location, and it was indeed perfect! From the Airport, you arrive to Hauptbahnhof station, and hotel is just 2 min walking from there. Then, there is a tram line D just opposite the entrance: this tram takes you to city centre (Opera) in a very short time (10-15 mins). Nice and welcoming design, very positive managers at the reception. There is even electronic room key in the hotel app; mine took some time to activate, but receptionist provided me with a regular entry card just in case. However, later I used the app. Room was quite big, bed is comfortable. You also get a safe. The little "sofa" by the window was really nice touch. :) Some people may get a little confused about the shower, which is located right in the room, but you can see it in photos before you book; also there is a curtain to cover this area during the use. For me this was absolutely fine. And WC is just regular and has solid doors) I also added breakfast to reservation, it was fine. Everything fresh, and the coffee is very good. Convenient check-out time until 12.00 next day. And if necessary, there are free luggage lockers in -1 floor. Had a short stay just for weekend Opera visit, and the place met all my needs perfectly.

NetherlandsThe hotel is very warm, you could say it has a sauna. And also the room.....sweltering hot. The personnel itself work in a T-shirt.We don't complain easily, but this really went too far. Even though there is an arrangement in the room, it turned out not to work. Nowhere, by the way. After we reported our complaint at the counter, we were told this. The temperature in the room can not be regulated. 'The window can be opened', yes we knew that by now, but we slept on the street side where traffic drives past all night. They were able to unlatch the window so it could open further. So, it's not a good solution. And being woken up every time by (race) traffic and sweltering heat made the night downright bad. Even get out of bed at night because you seem dehydrated and need to drink something and then wake up in the morning with a headache. Very unfortunate for an otherwise top hotel. If they don't improve this, we won't go back.
Shani is a nice hotel. A modern appearance and equipped with many amenities. Friendly and helpful staff. And also a short walk from Vienna's 'Hauptbahnhof' with all conceivable public transport connections into the city. For €8 euros you can travel unlimited 24 hours with all public transport. The breakfast is 'buffet' and very extensive. And always replenished. It was also no problem getting some tin foil on the morning of our departure to take with us for breakfast as there was no time for breakfast. Despite its versatility, the breakfast is well priced. Take a look and eat it for €23 pp. You can also rent everything, for example, an electric scooter. The bar is cozy and nice to end the evening. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was clean, and the beds were good. The 'open' bathroom is refreshing and perhaps has the best shower we have ever had in a hotel.
