Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeSize of room was very small for 3 people. We can hardly walk around from bed to toilet or one end of the roon to the other end as it was so tight. Toilet was very old, needs renovation Armchair in the room was so broken it tore a hole in my pants when I sat on it. The room price was expensive for the location, condition and size.
Lift to access to the rooms, air conditioning in the room, easy access to train station

AustraliaTwo things - one was that we were charged an extra 2 Euros per person per night for “energy” charge. Not worried about the money but should know about this before we get there - not sure who is at fault here but needs to fix. Only place in Europe we found this charge? Secondly, the cleaning on days 1 and 2 was good but on day 3 the cleaner had body odour which permeated the room to the point that we went out and purchased something to “sweeten” the room - noticed that the smell was in the lift also and it had been sprayed later.
Location was great, close to station and short walk to old town. Older style hotel but bathroom had been updated.

SlovakiaThe price offered on Booking was not what the hotel charged me. He wanted some extra money for "energy" and some taxes. The hotel did not want to give me a receipt for inspection before payment. He did not issue me the invoice after payment. Terrible is it possible in the EU???

RomaniaThey tried to make me pay for what I didn't take from the minibar. It seems that the housekeeper can put whatever she wants on a sheet and they make you pay for what you don't use. If you want to stay at this hotel, it's good to make an inventory of what's in the minibar beforehand, so you don't end up in an embarrassing situation at the end. I do not recommend the hotel, regardless it is fine!

GermanyAs i walked into the reception area it wreaked of cigarette smoke. The two men at the front desk were very rude and short with me for asking to check my sister’s reservation. The entrance and hallway was dingy. The air conditioning wasn’t on in my room so it had a moldy musty aroma. I checked out immediately and had to pay full cancellation price. My sister and husband cancelled their reservation with no penalty since they were scheduled to check in two days later.
I can’t say anything nice about the hotel.

AustraliaThis hotel caters mainly for bus tours, usually arriving noisily late at night. In the morning, we found the entire dining room reserved for the bus tourists to have their breakfast. Quite bizarre.
Old style ambience of the entire property.

GreeceThe rooms were extremely small. They were too small for the price charged per night. Also booking.com commented that the walking distance between the hotel and Motzart's house in Getreidegasse is 17 min. That was a lie. The actual distance was more than 30 min.
The rooms were spotlessly clean. The breakfast offered was of high standard

United Arab EmiratesThe room furniture and layout is not matching the standard of a four star hotel. Very old furniture, basic and in poor condition. Also the bathroom and shower definite need renovation. It would be ok for a two stars hotel

RomaniaEverything was perfect. Had a late check-in with no issues, amazing staff at the hotel. The room was very clean and I had basically everything I needed at my disposal. Also even though the hotel is quite close to the main train station, the area seemed quiet and peaceful.

GermanyWhen all 3 of us checking out the hotel, the reception lady told us that print machine is not working properly and the invoice can't be printed out. She said she will send them via email, so we gave her our email address, but we never received them. We contacted them 3 days later, but they never figure out to send right invoice which took nearly a month to issue 3 invoices after calling them 10 times. Actually, one of our colleague is charged extra 17 euro for parking space. They should train all receptionist to issue invoices.
Our room was on the grand floor, just next to the reception. It was pretty noisy.

NetherlandsNot great communication: they told us our room was ready when it was not. The maids where not happy we arrived, and we did not get an excuse from reception. Also, the radio in the bathroom turned on (very loud) in the middle of the night.

RomaniaI don't recommend! AVOID! Paying 130+euro per night to stay in cold is absolutely not acceptable!! We are in 2023! It seems they like to keep the costs as low as possible and the prices very high. Above this, I was charged 4 euro for "energiekosten" although in the booking reservation it was mentioned that the additional charges will be 1.75 euro per person per night for city tax only. No energy costs extra, nothing.. They insisted that those energiekosten were mentioned in the e-mail send when I made the reservation. I showed them the e-mail and they saw with their own eyes that this is not true! Even so, they insisted that it was written in the e-mail!!! How can someone negate something that is written ??? It's beyong any logical comprehension! This speaks a lot about the staff... I will make a complain to booking for this since it is not acceptable!!
