Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThe toilet was separate to the sink and shower, a bit unusual but as they are part of your private bedroom it is not too much of an issue. We still really liked the room layout and features. The room is a bit old fashioned or old world but we liked the character.
Great Location very convenient to public transport and close to the State Opera where many tours depart from such as hop on hop off, day trip to Bratislava etc. Very clean, very comfortable, quiet hotel & location, nice quiet & spacious room, very good AC and we could also open the windows. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept very well due to the comfort and quietness! The hotel is very close to a market with a great selection of restaurants and bars and cafes. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast as it seemed expensive & there are plenty of places nearby to eat. Tea and coffee making facilities is a plus for us and also as you enter the room there were two hooks on the wall to hang coats which is very convenient if you have been out in the Vienna rain! You need your room key to use the elevator and this is a good feature as it adds to your feeling of security. We were very happy with this hotel and really enjoyed our stay.

LatviaThere is an empty refrigerator in the room. Excessively expensive breakfast (and it's not a breakfast at Berlin's Hotel Adlon), although the price of the room is quite affordable.
Excellent location. Right next to the Viener Secession, three minutes from the opera, four minutes from the Wiener Musikverein, four minutes from the Albertina. Excellent reception staff. Perfect room, clean and pleasant.

ItalyEverything was perfect!
The position was simply perfect: the hotel is close to the museum quarter (like 10 minutes walking), close to the centre of the City (Always 10 minutes) and close to bar and restaurants (historical sperl cafè is always 10 minutes walking far) and the secession building is in front of the hotel. We didn't need to take metro or tram for all our five days in this amazing City, But if someone need metro (karlsplatz) is very very close to the hotel. Staff was so kind, polite and welcoming 😀 they were very professional and they make our staying very comfortable: thanks 👍!

CanadaThe glass for the tub/shower could be bigger to avoid getting water all over the bathroom floor.
Excellent and spacious room! This hotel was also exceptionally clean. The location is close to Mariahilferstrasse, a big shopping street, the Naschmarkt and within easy walking distance of the city centre. Hotel staff were also very friendly. Definitely a great experience!

United StatesSteps from level to level. The designers should have paid more attention to access for persons with disabilities, or with problems with steps. I am eighty, and just hurt my knee making it difficult to climb stairs. I realize Vienna is not a new city, but to appeal to wider demographics you should be able to get to your room without having to climb stairs. The two elevator system separated by steps is almost an insult to those who cannot navigate steps. This should be apparent in your public advertising+-that tou are not an accessible property.
Breakfasts were very good, but I was under the impression that they were included in the price of the room. I believe they should all be either one or the other, all included or all not included. Our summary would be small accommodations and expensive breakfasts. It would be a good value is breakfasts were included. Otherwise not a particularly good value.

Very good location, close to Naschmarkt, where you can find all you need. 7min walking to Music Society, 5min to subway stations. 10min walking to Maria Theresien Platz, where all the historic buildings located. Hotel has their own parking garage, it’s fantastic to us. Staff are super good, room has air condition, very useful in this summer.

ItalyThe major downside of this hotel is the breakfast; it is absolutely not at the level of a 4* hotel, more like 2,5*. There is no one managing the breakfast room; the guests are more or less left on their own. There is some staff replenishing the buffet, but they seem to serve purely in a technical capacity and aren't able to communicate with guests due to lack of English speaking ability. The breakfast buffet is generally mediocre.
Fabulous location, both in terms of the nearby museums and the Naschmarkt where we ate several times.
