Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. As there is no air con a fan is provided, which is good, just note if you open the window it is quite a noisy street, so best to use earplugs.
Good value for money. Although check in says until 11pm, Pauline was quick to respond to let us know it is actually contactless (so 24hr). This was very handy as our flight was delayed, meaning we didn’t arrive until 2am. Clear instructions were given so access to our apartment was straightforward.

Towel was old and didn't look so clean with many stains on it. Toilet could have been cleaner. I wish there was still a receptionist especially at night.
Bed was comfortable. Location was good, with lots of shops and restaurants very near. Bus stations and trams are near as well.

Freezing water in the kitchen. Only 1 medium sized towel given.

There is no elavator.
They changed my room with the private room without charging. It is a great location. You can use train easily.They have locker before/after check-in.

Internet access started to glitch and disappear every day around 8-9 pm (possibly because there were a lot of connections at that time) although during the day it was okay.
The hostel is not located in the city center but it is near a few bus/tram stops so you can conveniently get to many places using public transportation. There was enough storage space in the room and the bedding was quite comfortable. A lady was cleaning common areas every day so kitchen and bathroom were also nice and clean. There also was a kitchen with a couple pans/pots so you can prepare simple meals.

Could use some renovation - squeeky beds, a bit broken shower, some doors stucking or difficult to open. Also pricey for the value

The men's toilet was quite far from the room and smelled terrible. The kitchen area was okay but not well equipped: a frying pan but no spatula? There's also no hot water connection in any sink.
The bed space with a curtain was very cozy, clean and comfortable. I appreciated the clear instructions for accessing everything and the convenient locker. There were a variety of useful food shops and transit options nearby.

They asked for my ID as a deposit to use the garage.
Nice hostel to spend the night. Towels, sheets, and lockers were included, no extra fee needed. Offers cheap parking in Wien.

The hostel is very much self service not a lot of support from hotel workers
I liked the curtains to cover the hostel beds gives you privacy. Showers are big and clean

There was not cofffee, and no staff around, I left a cream in the common area for 10 minutes and someone took it. I expected a different structure to be honest.
the only thing that was ok was the fact that you could do everything by yourself. I think that as a quick trip, you can be there, I just stayed for a night wich was perfect.

It's a bit grim. The common room has no natural light and everything is a bit shabby. The biggest issue is that you can only shower from 7 to 10am and then 3pm to 10pm. Forget leaving early or coming home late if you like to shower. The water tanks are also quite small so I took two cold showers in these time slots.

I had a wonderful stay here. It was clean and comfortable. The bed is bigger than i thought, almost like a mini room and very private with the large and thick curtains. I think the WC and shower areas could be upgrate for a better stay. But all in all, that was not bad

I had to change my room to the private room in 3rd floor. Although there is no elevator, the room upstair was clean, compact, and amazing. The property has 2 rooms, shared kitchen and bathroom/toilet. And, the view is beautiful.

We found some food under our bed, some crisps, but otherwise it was nice.
Great location, good room, I stayed with a 10 year old and she enjoyed our stay in this room. Close to the tram station and easy to get to airport or central station.
