Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNo staff on the property which means high safety dependency on whoever you share a room with. Also don’t look into the capsule door cracks…disgusting. The door is very confusing to open, especially door knob, almost everyone had problem opening it up on arrival.

RussiaBathroom area itself didn’t have a door (but toilet and shower had, all good🙂) I needed to leave at 4 am, so was a bit concerned if I can wake someone up accidentally. As a suggestion: maybe to have a door, but without a lock, just to make the space a bit more soundproof
Self check-in with the code is great, super quite place. The capsule gives the privacy, the amount of space inside was decent (I saw couples comfortably fitting in as well). Netflix and TV is a nice addition.

HungaryThere was no locker where I can place my bag, so that was inside of this small capsule with me. The capsule looks nice, but there are a few red and blue led what I cannot switch off for sleep and make the sleep harder. If I switch off everything then the air flow and phone charge stops. The video how to use the capsule should contains how to switch off the lights and what is it for the door close button. I had a very bad sleep: After struggling for three hours, I finally managed to fall asleep.
Location was good and rooms were clear.

United KingdomAll the lockers were in use on arrival so there was no where to leave bags, had to sleep with them in the pod. There was no where to keep items safe when having a shower etc, so had to carry them with you everywhere. Only one electric socket was working and you could not turn the lights off in the pod even when removing the electric card, but you could not have the air con on either. The TV would not let you do anything but let me watch someone elses netflix account, couldnt change channel or settings.
The private pods were a fun idea.

MaltaWhen I came back in the evening from dinner wanting to sleep I found that the capsule had looked itself on its own somehow which should not be possible according to the owner's check-in video. I had no way to get back in. Because there is no staff on-site and it turns out that the provided emergency number that is supposed to work anytime is actually only staffed till 11:30PM. I barely slept that night and almost missed my flight in the morning.
I like the concept in theory. A hostel with a few clean capsules that offer some privacy in a common space and automatic check-in with no human interaction that you stay in for 1-2 or two nights maximum as you wait to head out of Vienna.

United KingdomPods VERY noisy - they creak, the door is very loud (it plays music when opened for some reason), and they offer no sound insulation. The pods are very hot (even in chilly April) and the fan is too loud to leave on. The mattress is about one inch thick and very uncomfortable. The door is not secure at all - even when locked it can be pushed open, you don’t need the key card to open a pod. We stayed three nights - on the second day we came back to our pod to discover all our belongings had been removed and placed in a locked cleaning cupboard (which we had the code for due to having been given defective headphones on the first night) due to a mistake which also meant the people below us arrived to a pod that hadn’t been cleaned. They continued to ring me and insist we’d stayed in the wrong pod or should’ve checked out the previous night, neither of which were the case. No staff on the premises. No communal space.
It was clean and close to the train station, bathroom pleasant. Nice to have a TV.
