Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaThe food offered in the restaurant did not really suit MY taste, so I often only had the appetizers. SOME of the waitstaff lacked a smile and a warm welcome, and the mattresses in the rooms were too soft for MY preference, which made sleeping less comfortable.
The staff at the reception and the cleaners were exceptionally friendly and kind, which made a very positive impression. The hotel’s location is excellent, as both the train station and the shore of Lake Neusiedl are easily accessible on foot. Additionally, there is a well-stocked supermarket nearby.

ItalyThe gym is really small, located under the swiming pool, close the sauna, so it is quite hard to train due to the heat. It is also equipped with few cardio machinery and no weight etc. It should be updated with more tools to train actually. The pillow was too soft, at least for me. The dinner included in the package is not as various and complete as breakfast. Some food on demand could be added, at least considering people with food intolerances and allergies.
Nice location with friendly staff. Very good breakfast with different choices both salty and sweet.

United KingdomThe restaurant staff could have been friendlier. The buffet breakfast and dinner (half board) were nice, but dinner is only served from 18.00 - 20.30 and guests arriving after 7 may only find a small choice of starters or mains, as they seem to occasionally run out of certain foods. The wellness centre/pool is slightly old fashioned and on the smaller side, but it looked clean, - I wasn't tempted. The furnishings and deco in the communal areas are pretty outdated and the lobby areas are showing a bit of wear and tear, they are neither particularly elegant nor cosy (for an Austrian hotel), and the bar is too far away to cater for guests wanting to sit comfortably enjoying a drink after dinner. It is obviously a hotel that has been extended again and again over the years and hast lost some of its' 4* charm on the way. I would have rated it a very good 3* hotel, but realise it gets the extra * due to the additional facilities.
Hotel Wende is not a terribly pretty but very comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful reception staff, spacious rooms, comfy beds, well designed bathrooms, ceiling fans or A/C and clever mosquito screens out to the balcony. We all slept incredibly well. If, like us, you are looking for a very comfortable base with free parking, good food and in walking distance from the town and the lake and not a top notch 4* hotel, then this is a good place to stay.

Russiawell, the only annoying thing was that there is no wifi that would work all over the place. When going from your room to the reception, spa or breakfast/dinner areas, you have to log in to a new wifi hotspot every time (each area offers its own wifi connection). The other thing was the hotel layout: to get to the spa area you have to walk long corridors and pass the breakfast/dinner area which is a little uncomfortable as you are wearing a bathrobe or a towel, and have to pass other guests who are dressed up to go to dinner or to the bar. But the above are minor things that do not spoil the overall good impression!
it is a very nice hotel in Neusiedl am See. it has a good and quiet location, and it takes you only 15 walking minutes to get to the lake. It offers very good spa facilities (a large enough swimming pool, a jaccuzzi, a sauna, a steam bath, as well as a room with sports equipment, even a room with table tennis, which we enjoyed playing), so you have all you need to relax and do some sports. Free towels and water as well as apples are provided in the spa area. Also, the hotel offered us some visitor cards that gave us free access to a number of museums, which was really good! The room was very nice, spacious enough for 2 people with luggage, and it was very clean. They offered room service/cleaning every day + change of towels. The hotel also had toiletries, so no need to take any from home. The bed was comfortable, the linen and towels were of good quality and nice to use. The wifi was good, fast enough for video-conferencing. The breakfast was good and very varied, we could order eggs of our choice (sunny-sides with different fillings or omelettes), it was always very well cooked. Besides, the buffet offered enough of choices (yogurts, muesli, fruits, cheeses and meats, ham, salads, pastry, a lot of everything), all fresh and filled up once getting empty. We even had prossecco every morning for a good start into the new day! Dinners were also tasty and variuos, one could always find something to their liking or diet. The service during both breakfast and dinner was exceptional! Thank you!

SlovakiaIt was very windy during staying combined with Sahara's microsand. It was not caused by hotel of course ;-)
Place and location are perfect for bicycle riding. Hotel is older but in perfect condition, wellness included. Food was from local sources, and tasty. Parking in front of hotel was without any problem.

AustriaThe view from our balcony wasn’t the best as we were on the 1st floor the 2nd floor would be better and it’s quite expensive to say we had a view of the roof and a football ground but we still enjoyed sitting on the balcony
Easy to walk down to the lake, it had a pool and sauna. The restaurant food was really nice we really enjoyed the buffet style so you can try a bit of everything and eat what you fancy. Best of they allow dogs… 18 euros a night though

BelgiumThe pilllow making noise and looked like was washed at a higher temperature than recommended as it wasn't straight but made of balls of smth inside, was quite unconfortable and didn't expect that for a 4star hotel. I had to sleep without. The pool very small - different from the pics The steam bath and sauna were not working and was no info that you need to go back at the reception to ask to be turned on. The hairdrier in the room was not working initially. The electric car charger is not a fast charger, only a normal plug plus a special one( not for my car) and I used it only limited and they thought they charged me little but actually was more expensive than charging at a fast charger by my calculations. It is also not easy to find and more cumbersome to pay as you need for someone to check consumption and make the calculations and you have to wait. I skipped the breakfast as I had an akward experience at the dinner. I asked if I can seat at a place near the windows as the resto was quite empty but I couldnt, but my question maybe upset someone cos afterwards they were making fun of speaking english with some locals at the table near me. I had the impression they were not so welcoming to non austrians. There are brown spots in the pool area Felt like a "ryanair" type of hotel: bathrobe 5e, slow electric charging x eur, etc
The reception staff were ok, the bubble bath was nice
