Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I didn't like the construction in the room that supposed to be a bathroom. It was so noisy when water was running from the shower. The elevatior was broken during our last day of stay.
Breakfast was average, nothing special. But better than in Novotel City Center Hotel . Bed was very comfortable.

breakfast was expensive compared to many tourist cafes
The hotel's location is a 10-minute walk from both the train station and the tourist area. The hotel is also very close to public transportation, its rooms were very comfortable and its staff was friendly. The price was reasonable compared to other hotels, but expensive compared to hotels in Europe.

The front desk staff sent us to the wrong parking garage which ended up costing double what they advertised. Our room was only made up once in four nights. The coffee and hot chocolate in the bar downstairs was served barely warm and drinks/food was expensive. Rooms are quite small.

Several things broken in the room. The staff were not helpful at all. The room came without basic things such as body was, towels and the lamp and phone were broken. We reported this and nobody did anything. You waited 3 hours for towels to be bought to room (after having to go to reception to chase !)

Room was advertised as Executive Room, this was quite small with no view from the window, except for a brick wall, seemed a bit closed in. (I hate to see a Standard Room). Bathroom was not very functional, the shower system was broken, and the shower was in a very high but very small bath. It was difficult to step in and out to have a shower... No handle for stability. My wife needed assistance each time.
Breakfast was quite reasonable, with a good selection. great location.

We had a lovely stay; the room was cozy, and the beds were comfortable. We had breakfast and also tried lunch and dinner at the hotel, and the food was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is very close to the metro station. I totally recommend it, and we would definitely choose Novotel Wien City for another stay in Viena. Our daughter really enjoyed the play room they have for the kids.

It's not in the heart of the city center, we had to walk 20 mins to get to all the tourist places.. also the rooms are very small no place to keep luggage . Our room was on the lower level, the glass was see through from the main road.

Room size small - very limited amount of tea / coffee , no milk . no landline telephone in the room , therefore you could not communicate unless you go down to reception. Very concerning from health and safety and well being point of view. Not value for money.

Unable to check in despite being well after 3pm check in as room not ready (no apology - having to entertain young children for a long time without our room), some staff weren't very friendly, room pretty run down
