I recommend finding a place inside the room for a frigo bar 25 € for the breakfast maybe a bit too expensive, it could be fine also 20 € like I was spending in Munich in a similar Hotel

Convenient location close to the railway station, a small mall, and diverse restaurants, and an easy and pleasant walk to Mirabell palace, the Salzach river, and the Old Town/fortress. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with much attention to detail.

The room was dark because it was at the end of the hall and the outdoor porch was shaded due to the position of the room. While the hotel was very close to the train station, it was a ways away from the center of town. I used the public transit system to get to and back from the town center - the stop was very close and convenient.

Breakfast was good. They have a lovely outdoor courtyard where you could have your breakfast. The bed and pillow was very comfortable. Room was quiet.

The hotel and the rooms are extremely cozy, it’s quite central without being too touristy, and the staff go out of their way to help out. They have optional parking and breakfast you could add to your room, and a great vegetarian place next door, Furo, which is outstanding for dinner!

Beautiful hotel in Salzburg in a great location - close to the bus/train station (5 min walk) and 20 minute walk to the other side of town where most sightseeing is. Rooms are quiet and spacious with beautiful mid-century modern furniture and great WiFi and AC (by European standards). Overall our group enjoyed our stay here and would recommend!

A very beautiful and comfortable room. Breakfast was nicely laid out with plenty of hot and cold options. Staff were friendly and very helpful with storing my luggage on my check-in and check-out day.

Our apartment was beautiful and perfect for a family of four. Only lost marks because the cleaning staff had forgotten to remove the garbage (though the room was otherwise very clean) and the shower was slow to drain. Otherwise it was an excellent place to stay in Salzburg. Easy to park, lots of amenities close by and it was so nice to have a little kitchen to make breakfast before heading off for excursions. Front desk staff and bartender all lovely people! We would definitely return.

Everything as we expected. We have nothing to complain about.

The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was excellent. The distance from the center is perfect if you are fit for a 10 - 15 minute walk. We would definately stay at Hotel Zum Hircen again when we visit Salzburg next time.

The whole aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful and calm. Clearly very recently done. The room was spacious and had a lots of nice little touches! Staff were friendly and the breakfast was lovely.
