I wish there was some sort of notification / warning about the building work that’s happening next door. I fully understand it is not property’s fault but there’s major construction happening for approx 6+ months would be my guestimate; meaning you are up at 6.30am with the builders hammering right next to your bedroom. We had to be out of the room between 7-4pm each day as the noise and dust was just unbearable. Can’t sit outside in what would be a beautiful veranda because you’re just breathing in construction dust and all the clothes left outside get dusty/dirty. For the price we paid - it was ridiculous environment and should’ve been avoided by being upfront with their customers / offering discounted services given that you can’t enjoy any of the facilities on site. If you’re looking for a peaceful and enjoyable relaxation, check with the venue if the works have finished before booking! Otherwise you’ll be having a terrible time.

Beautiful place but we didn’t get to enjoy it one bit due to crazy construction work happening right next door; approx 3m from your bed :(

Privacy is lacking - the courtyard where the hot tub is is central to all rooms, where all balconies are crowded and overlooking each other. From our bedroom with the curtains open, you can see into four other rooms. With people on their balconies, this feels crowded. We had a room with two windows to the entry/ exit path and people walking past the windows felt unprivate too. Sofa bed- Seriously if you have more people than the bedroom caters for, do not stay here. The sofa bed mattress was so paper thin, feeling each spring that my friend gave up and put it away and slept on the sofa. Value for money- This place was double the price of our other stays on the trip and we were looking forward to it for its luxurious aesthetic. It felt very average, and not as luxurious as the photos make out. Noise- It can't be helped that construction is going on next door, but some pre- warning that they start at 0700 would be nice, especially after late night noise from the residents above our room! No lights outside on the balcony to sit outside in the evening.

The location is excellent, so close to the centre and parking was freely available. We were able to park in the locked enclosure, though with room only for a few cars this may not be available during busier periods. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable.

The manager Clancy was really nice, nothing was too much trouble, she insisted on ordering us a taxi when going to Raes dining for dinner (not in town, out further). The room is as pretty as the picture and the deck I think is bigger in real life. It is only a 10 minute walk into town and the beach, and this is the only way to go, because parking costs $1.50 per 15 minutes, this seems to be in tourists' spots all over NSW. The accomadation has undercover parking which is great. We really enjoyed staying here and Clancy made it extra special. I would definitely reccomend Azur. Ps, bed is very comfy

The construction going on next door. Didn’t get the room I actually booked until I called reception and it was fixed. The room was small and the parking wasn’t that convenient.

The spa and pool were ok. Nothing special. Especially for the price.

There is construction happening next door and it’s extremely loud and goes on all day all week, would advise people not to book here for the next 2 years as this is when it’s happening. The hotel is aware of the construction as it’s the owners project so please don’t believe they have no control over this

We checked out after the first night and only stayed that long because we arrived at 10pm. The property does not look like the photos advertised and is hugely overpriced for what it is. The villa was run down and not even close to ‘luxurious’ - curtains hanging off the rails, water damaged doors and all of the walls and windows were scuffed and dirty. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the upstairs apartments every word until they stopped partying at 2am. The villas have no privacy if the curtains are open as anyone can see straight into the room/bedroom so you can’t have any natural light in there. There is a huge construction site next door looming over the pool and the villa we were given smelled mouldy and musty when we checked in. No one was there to check us in (or out) we were just sent a text msg with gate access codes. So far haven’t heard anything from the property after telling them we left at 9am the next morning. The good reviews here don’t seem to add up and I suspect they have been bought or are fake. Don’t waste your money on this place. You can get 5 star accom (we moved to Hotel Marvell which was incredible for near enough the same price)

According to picutres on website and our booking we thought we were booking into the main house with full kitchen and living area. This was not the case. For the price you pay the communal kitchen and shared breakfast items is not food safe. ie. shared butter and spreads etc... On Saturday morning there was no bread or milk provided until about 10am after the housekeeper had to go to town to get it.

    Everything

This is very much a dilapidated backpackers motel, We stayed at the Sea Breeze unit, The premises requires total upgrade, There is a very large building project been carried out next door to the motel by the Motel owners building a house while he was at his house in Bali which was not mentioned and the builders start work every day from 07.00. there was no luxury. This was most disappointing as we had to leave the premises every morning early to escape the noise during our stay. They did try to provide an alternative room, however there was no getting away from the building noise. Some of the reviews are very questionable. Having known about the building work I would never had booked at AZURE Byron Bay. there are many other places more suitable and better facilities. The building work is a large project probably lasting two years. If anyone considering booking at Azur Byron Bay should reconsider alternative accommodation as not to spoil your stay.

The only suggestion was the house could install railings on the stairs inside as older family relatives found that a little unnerving.

This was a fantastic place to stay for our group of 13! We celebrated my sisters 50th and the staff were amazing and very helpful. Clancy went over and beyond to help us make it a special time ! She helped us organize gift boxes etc and nothing was too much. The villas are beautiful and to also have the house was a great meeting place for breakfast and getting together for drinks and nibbles in the garden area. It’s an amazing property within walking to distance to the main centre. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Overall, I didn't feel that the room matched the photos. The property appeared to need a bit of TLC and a bit of a face lift. Obviously not the property's fault, but the neighbours were incredibly loud for hours. Very loud music playing into the night. Left jewellery in the room, contacted the property to recover and was told they couldn't be found.

It was cute. The bed was whimsical.

Well marketed and picture choice, however this place is an expensive backpackers. Communal pool, spa, kitchen. Zero View. Zero Privacy unless all curtains drawn closed. Gates didn’t work. Staff were confused as to why we were there, what stage our booking was at, which room was ours etc. Also had to physically write down my Credit Card details onto a piece of paper. This felt potentially unsafe.

Very comfortable bed, large shower with rain drop shower head, off street gated parking.
