Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe bathroom was well-outdated and in desperate need of a reno. The whole venue was just tired and looked like it hadn’t had any maintenance or updates in a good few decades.
The room (excluding the bathroom) was nice.

AustraliaThe phone did not work, I reported it to reception who said they would fix straight away. That never happened. The room was dark in the lounge area, a standing lamp would have helped to read by. There were long black hairs in the bath and hand basin. The bath had a large old black chip in the white enamel. It would be so easy to apply a dab of paint on it and make it presentable. The drive in and out needs some pothole attention.
Restuarant was available for dinner and the meal very good, especially the prawns. The tea making facilities were good and the fridge nice and cold. The car parking was okay.

AustraliaWe are thankful it was only a one night stay as our room smelt damp and was not weather-proof. The fixed glass window to the balcony was installed on an angle and there is a 1 - 2 cm gap at the top cannot be sealed or closed meaning insects and mosquitos can get into the room - not to mention the faint whistle of the wind blowing through. While the rest of the resort is a little dated it seems they are trying to modernise the resort. The pool looked lovely and the grounds and a few minute walk to the beach is great.

AustraliaBeds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. Food at restaurant was terrible, especially for the cost. Frozen fried food essentially. Kids Napoletana pasta was spaghetti with what looked like canned tomatoes and melted cheese on top. Beef patty on burger was tough and overly processed, not freshly made. Even the hot chips were undercooked and tasted terrible, the calamari was soggy. Just not what you expect for a nice hotel restaurant. We should have gone out. To be fair we bought it “to go” and ate in our room as the kids were exhausted (loved the idea of this for convenience with the kids and appreciated the staff calling our room to let us know when it was ready to pick up), so we weren’t able to give feedback at the time. Had we eaten in the restaurant they may have rectified the issues straight away (although I’m not sure what they could have done if this is how they make their food).
Staff were beautiful and friendly, hotel room was very clean. Pool looked fantastic, we didn’t have time to try it out.

AustraliaCleanliness and condition of outdoor area/furniture near pool was poor. Shower in room did not drain water overnight. We had a room promising a "garden view" - the view was a few trees and a dirt what looked like excavation block of land. The quality of food at the restaurant was quite disappointing, one dish inedible - so tough it could not be cut with a knife. Lots of potential with a few tweaks would have been a much better stay.
Beautiful view, pool. Games room, lovely cocktails, friendly easy check in/out.

Needs work. Could be something Magical. So much land and space. Needs about $20,000,000 spent on it to bring it up to today’s Standards. Best locations / Could hold events on the land between the hotel and beach. Ideal investment

AustraliaCockroaches in the room (lots under the fridge) and the poor response from the front desk when I reported it - I had to ask for a can of spray. The best I got was that he'd report it to maintenance tomorrow. My daughter and I were both ill after a meal from the restaurant, the response from the front desk when I reported it at check out was dismissive, and quickly moved on to the amount that was outstanding on the room to settle the bill. I wasn't expecting much as I understand things can and do happen, however the lack of empathy or understanding from both staff members was well below what you might expect.

AustraliaIt’s old & tired, smells, needs a lot of maintenance, standing around pool area and looking back to the resort it is a real eye sore, the owners need to spend some money, pool chairs look horrible and decking sticking up, beds Rock hard, the breakfast was very greasy and definitely not worth the money, I wouldn’t call it a resort, it’s a shame it’s really showing its age

Australia$220 a night.. mid week... the bed was terrible. So hard and uncomfortable. If I'm going to pay that kind of money for a room.. mid week...off peak.. I'm expecting something a bit more comfortable. Old plastic outdoor furniture on the verandah. The bathroom heavily outdated. The shower has so much build up of silicon and mould staining. It was overall pretty average. The super budget toilet seat was ill fitting and creaked and cracked.. so noisy.. The first impression of the resort was great. The grounds etc were lovely. The room was clean and tidy etc. But so uncomfortable, we left at 3:00am as we just couldn't sleep. I'm just glad we were only there one night.
The location was great. The staff were amazing. We checked in a bit late and the lady at the front counter was so accommodating. She called the restaurant to see if we could pop down and have a late meal. She was refreshingly delightful!

AustraliaThis was our third stay. The room smelled of mould. It was definitely through the air conditioning. Awful smell everytime you entered the room. The air conditioning was also too cold and the thermostat controls made no difference. For a Sat night I think the bar needs to stay open later than 8.30pm
Large enough to cater for big sporting groups to all stay together in same accommodation. Great pool.

AustraliaThe bed was way too soft. The shower was over the bath tub and there had been a non slip mat on the base of the bathtub which had not been removed and it had disintegrated and was stuck to the tub, it was gross to stand on!

AustraliaI didn’t like being on the ground floor but it was quiet and I was only staying one night.
The lovely man at Reception who greeted me and made me feel most welcome, despite my late-ish check in time. I sensed he was a Manager and when he saw me in the Restaurant later he greeted me by my name. Nothing was too much trouble. Such a lasting first impression of a beautiful establishment.
