We arrived early as we were soaking wet as our golf game got washed out & asked if we could get into our room early. They were very non empathetic & adamant no one gets in before 2pm, not even a comment of we will see what we can do shoved a sign in my face saying no one gets in early. This was a horrible start to the conference I was attending there & will not go again for a conference or in my travels to Victoria as a stopping point. The venue needs some more maintenance & upgrade in bathroom. Step into the bath to shower no hand rail nearly fell when climbing out of shower / bath.

Your Breakfast was poor, we originally paid for Breakfast but asked for a credit immediately. The Breakfast was tired and hardly worth $60 per Couple. Your Restaurant the night before was busy due to a number of conferences. But the Food was wonderful. How can this be?

the bones of the property is good as well as location, however it needs a lot of work. its very run down. the air conditioner thermostat in our room was not working. and the drain in the shower is horrible, continuously overflowing into floor waste.

Breakfast was shocking! Fruit is old, scrambled egg didn’t taste nice at all, poached wasn’t even poached, not much options for vegetarians or non pork/meat eaters and it was $30 ahead like any other resort you stay in with more options. Dinner was great though

The property needs a real makeover. It’s old and needs a lot of renovations. The bathrooms need replacing and the price we were charged and what we received did not line up.

We loved how close it was to our sporting location. The pool was great for the kids but it’s very run down.

This is undoubtedly a treasure in the Australian Resort stable. Having once achieved the top tier across the major hotel chains, Opal far exceeds any expectations one will have for a get away.

Food was very expensive- overcharged and missing food. Ended up sick from the chicken curry. Spring rolls were soggy and kids spaghetti was horrible.
