Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff we dealt with were unhelpful & lacking in personal presentation (untidy uniforms & personal grooming) - more concerned with going on breaks, no secure car parking, shower leaked all over bathroom floor due to drainage issue, aircon old & whole panel fell off when trying to cool extremely hot room

It is very dated and run down. The food in the restaurant was of poor quality.
The staff. Every staff member we dealt with was exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. They were always smiling.

Great location right by the beach. The restaurant food was exceptional and super friendly staff. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through our visiting the area.

We couldnt work out the air-con. We left the door open and a bush turkey came in and scoffed our biscuits and coffee granules. We thought this was hilarious and we should of kept the door closed. We could of hunted him out but it was no big deal. Place is a bit outdated and there is 3 levels of fountains in the foyer that are empty. Didnt affect our stay at all.
$200 for 3 people, clean comfortable room with big TV. 2 queen beds. doors open onto a pleasant grassy garden area. The property is beach front and you can walk down to a beautiful beach. $30 each for a big breakfast. We also had dinner which was very nice. Quality steak and lamb, can highly recommend just popping in for dinner if you were staying in Coffs. Nice big towels. Staff were lovely. looked like it had a really good gym facing the ocean area, we didnt use it.

The hotel communal areas were dirty and smelly. Reception staff were rude and unhelpful. Pool area was dirty and unkempt. Loungers old and in disarray. Had to make a reservation for dinner. Dutifully complied. 7:00. Arrived, restaurant 3/4 empty Given table facing a wall. As a solo traveller not best spot. Waited 40 mins. No service. Only 35 other people In restaurant made to accommodate 100’s Spoke to various other guests equally disappointed and dissatisfied.
I booked my room via Ocean view via Booking.com. The room I was all allocated did not only NOT have an ocean view it was the room furthest away from all amenities and isolated at end of highest corridor. No rooms near me where occupied I asked to be moved nearer to amenities. I informed hotel was full A further manner of staff said less than 50% occupancy. Believe I was allocated worst room because booked via Booking.com.

The room above our plumbing drips into the roof cavity half the night and kept me awake. Walls aren't insulated from noise, very loud.

As other reviews stated it’s just so run down. Walls are flaking with paint everywhere including the rooms. Mould everywhere outside and broken pavers, concrete everywhere. Would have been a nice hotel back in the day but it needs a revamp. Most staff were nice. Man on reception was quite rude. Pool area and gym is old and run down. We didn’t want to you the facilities as it just didn’t seem clean or inviting. With a makeover this place could be wonderful again.
Location is wonderful with a walk to the beach. Room was big and clean. Unfortunately that’s about it.

For a start, I paid extra for a sea facing view. I was given a sea facing view room when I checked in but no sea view. All blocked by trees! When I approach the reception, she told me they do not promise u can see the sea! Also, the fact that I book thru Booking.com, the priority is lower! After much talking, I manage to convince her to give me a room w the sea view. Btw, the hotel is very empty that day and they do t bother to arrange a sea view which I paid for!

Beds were not comfortable Could hear people in room above walking/stomping until late hours Floor was rock hard (young daughter so always a worry of her rolling off the bed) Pool entrance on way back from beach didn't work Shower was so powerful (no matter how much you turned it on) and sprayed water all over the floor

The ONLY minor problem was operating the tv. Couldn’t get all the normal free to air channels. We tried & tried but no luck..
