We didn't like that tv reception was terrible and there was a high pitched sound possibly coming from bathroom

Overall Bit dated, no air con in main living area and only portable in bedroom, which was noisy.

Fantastic location, right in front of beach/ access from the gardens. Near to restaurants and Point Lookout. Unit we had was large and roomy, very comfortable. Great BBQ area near pool.

No air conditioning in the rooms . Pool needed serious renovations (cracked surrounds which had been repaired and was not holding )

The pool was too warm. The bugs were bad a couple nights on the balcony. A fan on the balcony would have helped with the bugs.

The location was nice. Enjoyed the view from the balcony.

The place could do with aircon for the really hot days - minor 1st world problem 🤪

Awesome location quick walk to the dive centre and the beach is on your doorstep 😀 facilities are good and the staff are very accommodating

The bathroom had shaved whisker hair in the ledge in the bathroom . The bed was super hard. Other than that a good facility.

The location to the beach was amazing. We were lucky enough to have an apartment on the top floor so the view was beautiful.

Blankets were dusty - hayfever can spoil a holiday. Language used in signage in room (about washing dishes & taking our rubbish out ourselves etc) made us feel unwelcome rather than valued guests.

The stairs to bring up your luggage. We were fine because we are fit/healthy, but elderly or someone with an injury would probably struggle with the stairs and luggage. Choose a lower level if you are worried about the stairs.

Loved the location. Right on the beach and close to other beaches and restaurants. Close driving distance to most restaurants. Walking distance to a few. We love the friendly easy going staff and the pool and bbq area was great. The rooms were spacious and good. Don’t expect luxury. Nice big balconies.

Definitely not a fan of the bare concrete floor. It looked dirty and the damaged floor surface with lumps of concrete missing was not what I was expecting to see. I did have a phone call ahead of arrival to tell me the floor was bare concrete but didn’t state the floor had chunks missing. Otherwise everything else was ok

Home Beach was much longer than I'd remembered - distance to patrolled beach was a bit far and slogging through the billabong to get to sand wasn't ideal.

Room smells chemical when we check in, there was no soap and shampoo in bathroom.

Bbq area near the pool n beach was also close. Very quite and sound of waves n bird gives you the full relaxing mood.

The only issue we could mention is that the fly screen doors and screen windows desperately need hosing and or cleaning. Likewise the windown seals need a clean. With summer coming on this is a must to ensure guests do not get germs from these areas.

The room was a little dirty, needs a deep clean. (corner cobwebs, wall in laundry needs a wipe) Very average shower. Many many stairs to hotel room and even the carpeted stairs and top corners of the stairwells need a clean. Definitely not for anyone with difficulty going up/down stairs.

Location location location! Just a hop skip and jump and you were on the beach! I was able to hear the ocean from our bedroom. Great beach walks for kms! They had a coffee plunger and most amenities needed in the kitchen..

Situated on the beach we could walk down the beach to see the beauty of Straddie. We’ll set up accommodation, clean and spacious. Comfy bed and seating areas. Loved the view from the balcony.

The rooms are owned by individuals. Consequently fittings and provisions are beyond the control of the management and subject to the owners interest in supporting the guests.

The proprietor was absolutely wonderful, welcoming and interested in us. He went out of his way to contact us early, facilitate an early access to the room and to provide us with advice about the island, sights and eating establishments. The room was prepared ahead of time. The view was great, the resort had all necessary facilities and the access to the beach and eateries was great.

The concrete floor in the apartment. We were not sure if it was part renovated or if they are leaving the floor as concrete. Did not like that at all. Would be better with some vinyl flooring than left as it was. Gave the rooms a very ‘cold’ feel. Not very inviting.

Great position, handy to the beach and within walking distance of good food options.
