Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Old and poorly maintained. Left my clothes in my suitcase since the cupboard shelf was dusty.
All the basics to be self sufficient for a competitive price.

Easy check-in. Friendly lady at check-in. Close to the centre of Cairns and main shopping centre and the train station. I visit Cairns 2or 3 times a year and I always stay at Aspect Central and have never been disappointed.

Pool had some part of the floor missing Things that couldn’t be helped but slightly tainted my time: There was a smell from the Indian restaurant next door In a flight path near landing so could be noisy Windows look straight on to the courtyard so not much privacy when curtains are open
Bed were extremely comfy 15-30 minute walk into the centre Restaurant on site, fast food and convenience shops near Nice pool

Room 25 had a slow and squeaking fan. 2 pillows were hard and uncomfortable to sleep on

Under the flight path, some noisy guests.
I've been staying here for many years. Basic accommodation but very clean and comfortable. Close to the hospital, many takeaway restaurants, convenience store, bottle shop over the road and the Cock and Bull restaurant only a minutes walk. Gated parking is a bonus and the pool. I Indian restaurant in the grounds.

Shower wasn’t very clean- other people’s toiletries were still on the top. Pool closed too early so we couldn’t even use it.

Liked everything
This is a great hotel and close to everything. The bed is really comfortable and the room and bathroom are a good size . There is a supermarket close n a few eateries, however the hotel has the yummiest Indian restaurant onsite. A big shoutout to the amazing lady at reception who went above n beyond to help us with our stay. Highly recommend Aspect Central for any length of stay .

While this doesn't impact on the comfort and convenience of this motel, the litter on the footpath and in the gardens is an eyesore and detracts from the attractiveness of the property.
This motel is centrally located between car rental places and the city. We comfortably walked between the two. Our good-sized room on the ground floor was value for money. The decor is in need of a freshen up, but we had access to everything we needed for an overnight stay. Security was explained to us and worked well. The kitchenette is equipped with cooking gear and the bed was comfortable. Even though the motel is situated near traffic lights on a busy thoroughfare, we were not bothered by the noise. I would certainly recommend this motel for an overnight stay.
