How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The handbasin is too high. It must be a problem for short people. Otherwise the bathroom is well appointed. Decor overall is very good.
Helpful staff. Quiet location but handy to the town.

No window just a skylight Hot water took ages to come to sink so long infact we never really got hot water just luke warm.
Nice large room well equipped. Clean and comfortable. Central location Food in Bistro was good and not expensive.

Traffic control were staying there and were very noisy and very loud.
Rooms were very clean and very roomy. Great location, walked everywhere.

Great value pub accomodation in Atherton. My room was very clean, with an extra comfy bed and great hot shower. I stayed for 2 nights and ate in the bistro both nights, the meals were very good on both occasions. Guests staying at the pub get discounted meals and free drink cards, so it was excellent value. They offer a free guest laundry, and the price was also far less than other options in the area. Far exceeded my expectations

No microwave in the room but there is a kettle and a bistro downstairs to eat.
The man with the big hair at reception was very understanding, kind, and got us the extra pillows we needed. We felt at home, comfortable, safe and accommodated. The room, balcony, and attached bathroom were lovely. Also maccas not far away.

Back street parking not sure if secure enough.
The bed was very comfortable. Rooms were very clean. Asked for an early check in was not a problem for staff. A great experience will definitly be back. Food was surprisingly good.

Toilet lid hadn't been lifted to be cleaned.

Some other guests were noisy and inconsiderate which tends to echo around the large open space internal design of the building.
Friendly staff, easy check-in. Clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. Central location, nice bistro meals.

Got there early be aust Got there early because of the coach, would have been nice to have access to room. Stored our bags but would have been a nice touch.

had to get toilet paper and bins emptied in my room when I booked in. also cleaner the following day banging on the door at 9am. she said the keys were in the office thinking we had left she said that was the second time that day. no wonder the bar staff thought it was booked out. bad management

Wi fi didn’t work in our room, but we just used our mobile data, no problem. As our room was on the end could hear the doors open and close, but after ten at night was very quiet.
Location on Main street, close to shops, cafes &dinning. Bed was so comfortable, room was clean, spacious and updated, bathroom was new. Staff are lovely and very friendly. On arrival received a free drink voucher and 10% off meals at the hotel restaurant. Restaurant meals were very good so went back the next night, amazing food.

Wifi did not work in our initial room at very rear of hotel, but staff tried to fix it immediately, and failing to do so moved us to another room with good wifi connection.
Convenient location, good restaurant in main hotel, helpful staff.
