ran out of towels during our stay. bathroom is desperate need of an upgrade. was neat and tidy but not clean, especially the bathroom. was a little disappointing for $400 per night.

good location, aircon and fans made the room comfortable.

On multiple days, our used towels were collected but no new towels were provided - we had to go and ask at reception. The room was advertised with a hair dryer, but after asking twice they couldn't provide us with one. Also, the shower gel & shampoo were not replenished when they were empty. The staff were certainly friendly enough, but the service could definitely be improved.

Great location, comfy beds and a great buffet breakfast. Nice ambience in the foyer area.

The rooms were basic and rather grotty - chipped tiles and peeling paint, very noisy, never the full complement of towels. For four days I asked for a pillowcase for an uncovered pillow : it never came and the response was to remove the pillow. I expected a lot more considering the room price.

They ran out of clean towels the second day we were there. They provide a free laundry for guest to use but because there were no towels delivered they were washing the towels in there and had to close it for maintenance. We did not receive clean towels for the rest of our stay and could not wash or even dry the towels we had. The whole place is very run down and well overdue for a make. Very overpriced.

Air conditioner didnt produce cold air,we asked for it to be looked at from day 1 but nothing happened during our 3 day stay. Hot and cold taps are tricky to use as you dont know hot from cold and on from off, catches you out!

Disappointing. The hotel, as with the whole of Darwin, was experiencing staff shortages. As a result our room wasn't cleaned by check in time, normally not an issue, however we had just completed 10 days on the road travelling the NT. Front desks resolution to this, after we were told that this is the best room in the hotel (it certainly cost like it was!!), was give us free breakfast buffet. Like majority of hotels around the world the breakfast buffet is not worth its cost. We were told that we needed to take the buffet breakfast or nothing. The rooms carpet was thread bare and with many stains. Unconsciously we found ourselves wearing shoes the two days we stayed at the hotel Disappointed

Location was great. The staff were working extremely hard to deal with staff shortages. Hotel parking was easy

extremely run down, poor service - waited 45 mins for a coffee. rooms were very run down. bathroom and shower was tiny. Air cond made a rattling sound all night. it was extremely overpriced for what it was. we paid over $400/night - same as some Sydney cbd places with harbour views and top restaurants! this was definitely a huge disappointment.

Very slow wifi. Bathroom needing renovation. No decaf coffee available. Cold pool & spa. The view of a blank wall was very disappointing considering the price. No shower cap Room not serviced til 5pm then no milk or tea/coffee replaced. Etc etc. Not happy & would not recommend. It won’t look good on trip advisor.

Breakfast ok but no decaf coffee - none available in room either. Bed was comfy

The rooms are so dated. The bathrooms are horrific. They charged $300 per night and it’s not even worth that much. The pool is the same size as a backyard pool, nothing to even do. Considering you can’t swim in any of the beaches and you just want to stay by the pool it’s too small.

The reception and bar area was really nice, lovely vines that were hanging quite nice. It was also good that the Gold Coast sun players were staying at the same time, have us some entertainment, in terms of the hotel it was just disappointing.

Unfortunately this hotel was nowhere near on par with other Novotel/Accor properties and my stay was really disappointing. Mouldy shower curtain (why a shower curtain in the first place?), mouldy bathroom ceiling, and mouldy satchel of coffee. Please check any coffee/tea bags before you use them as this poses a serious health hazard. Wardrobe door had no railing so was difficult to open and there were stains on the bedding and carpet. Towel rack was coming apart. Some staff at reception were sweet however poorly trained and there were lengthy wait times to check in. Lobby smelled of damp and first room key didn’t work. My friends and I paid for seaview rooms and didn’t receive them. I was ‘upgraded’ on arrival without requesting this and my room looked directly onto another building. Another friend was incorrectly processed as only staying one night even though she booked four. This really isn’t good enough for the money I paid. I’d like to feed this back directly to someone from Novotel or Accor head office as it’s not the hotel staffs fault that the building/facilities are so poor. Clearly this is a larger issue that needs to be addressed. Bath was stained. I’ve stayed at budget hotels such as Travelodge and roadside motels that far exceeded the comfort and quality of this hotel. To be honest I couldn’t wait to fly home and sleep in my own bed. Emma.

    Location was good.

Novotel please spend money updating your bathrooms and rooms!!! Shower curtains (Really!!) , old baths and rooms let the Accor brand down dreadfully. Tired, outdated and desperately in need of updating.

Staff are fantastic. Reception and two young men behind the bar are great. Hotel in great location.
