Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing, everything was great.
Facilities, location close to beach. Manager checked us in early with a choice of room - very friendly & helpful. Free Parking was on-site & secure. Bed was comfortable. The apartment was quiet and we felt very safe & secure.

Properly no lifts
Lovely Beaches Great walks and Bowling Club nearby. Short dives to everything. Lovely laid out gardens.

The place was the worst! Disgustingly dirty! And really unhelpful staff that wouldn’t even source a portacot for my son that I did easily myself. But the state of filth was by far the worst part. Do not stay here!!!

There was major roadworks all night that were not made aware to us at the time of booking. There were barriers all around the premises, we were told to park in front of a no parking sign and run in and get the key. I did this but was not happy about it. The highway noise in general was not great but with night roadworks outside our window we did not get a great deal of sleep. The TV was stuck on safe mode!! We could not use it!! we were told there would be a sofa bed, instead there was an outdated leather soiled couch! I had to ask my daughter and partner to drive 1.5 hours home as we could not accomodate them.
The property suited us for its location to a wedding we were attending.

Aussie Resort is a well maintained, clean little village. Our room was lovely. Well appointed, nicely furnished, spotless. A pleasure to stay in.

We stay here every time we have an event around the Burleigh area and we enjoy it every time. It’s very close to Burleigh centre and the room is spacious

extremely noisy even with windows closed, bedroom facing Gold Coast highway. TV stopped working, outside light on minuscule balcony not working. Laundry tap dripping. No apologies from management (not on site during our 3 day stay) about inconvenience.

Bit outdated furniture. Mattress on the fold out couch has seen better days. A glass table with kids is a nightmare. Just as a couple in the bed would be perfect
Perfect location, right across from the beautiful beach. Supermarkets, restaurants, cafe all in walking distance. Refreshing pool, underground secure parking. Very nice stuff, very nice mix between residents and travelers in the hotel. Awesome bbq spot with everything what you need.

The bottle opener needs replacing and the toilet roll holder was hard to reach.
the view from the veranda over the pool was wonderful and we were pleased to find the place so spotlessly clean, including the pool and hot tub spa and with the beach so close it was a great find.

Amazing staff! The gentleman at the reception was very friendly. The hotel however is very outdated. The room was spacious but the carpet was terribly stained. Cute balcony. Good enough for a couple days. Very close to the beach

very clean, quiet, our apartment had everything we needed, new bathroom and kitchen, we loved our mountain view, the Aussie shaped pool looked fun! We were so close to the beach and a lovely stroll to cafes and restaurants so made the most of it!

This is the first review i have ever left and the worst place we have stayed and we have stayed in a lot of places all around the world, to start with as soon as we got in the toilet didn't even look like it had been scrubbed (had splatter), I had to clean it myself before we used it, the room was completely outdated with crappy furniture dining chairs ripped the microwave and oven were filthy the lounge was so dirty that I didn't even want to sit on let alone use it as a second bed the shower looked like it had never been cleaned the screen was cloudy and the tiles and grout had mold. The pool has given my 3yr old a viral skin condition. We rang management to complain but all they wanted to do was send a cleaner around while we were on our holiday after I had already done it. I also forgot to mention that we we were there for six nights and had one small roll of toilet paper for three people we had to buy our own and one set of towels no face washers.

The staff were fantastic, so friendly ,so helpful, the air-con in my room played up but Ren (manager) was straight onto it and had it fixed by the next morning so my comfort wasn't disrupted ( thanks again Ren Ur a champion!) The unit I stayed in was heaps bigger than it looked in pics and the layout was great and I had the best sleeps the bed was incredibly comfy much better than my own bed back home ,triple glass on the window facing the road so the traffic noise was easily blocked out to ensure a great nites sleep and ofcoarse the pool was amazing and kept very clean ! It was a very friendly environment all in all and so close to the superb Burleigh beach and a short stroll to surf clubs for dinner and to the vibrant heart of town where you will find amazing dining and restaurants along with cool niche coffee shops breakfast bars and amazing selection of lunch time eatery's along with some great shopping it really is a cool little surf town. I totally recommend AUSSIE RESORT for a holiday destination it's location is perfect for seeing all the gold coast has to offer and bus stop is 1minute from the front gate ,how convenient! Thanks for a great holiday Aussie Resort ! 👍
