Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Fantastic place, with direct access to the beach. Large and clean room, with a very comfy bed. It was very quiet, even if I had a room in a cottage closest to the highway. Great facilities too.

the cost of a nightly stay was way to much for the standard of the rooms. not worth the price

There weren’t enough power points except for two in the bathroom for phone charging etc There were gaps in the curtains and I couldn’t have the curtains open without people looking in. Would be nice to have bowls and spoons for breakfast in the room

I upgraded from to executive spa suite with a large corner spa in photos and got a single bath spa , also said it had seperate bedroom and living room but it was all in one .

No hot water in the shower, the walls must be made of paper, we could hear the adjoining villa constantly and they weren’t being loud, we also come back to find house keeping in our room, wasn’t aware they were coming and didn’t appreciate people being there without us present. And no cooking facilities other than a bbq, an electric frying pan would’ve been helpful
The pool was awesome, I loved being right by the beach and the gardens are calming

As soon as I got into bed I was bitten all over my legs back and stomach. Definitely bed bugs in these beds.

Studio room could have been adapted for better self catering. Fridge was tiny. hardly any utensils Not many activities .No cafe or restaurant. Television rarely worked.

Shower didn’t work well. Not enough hot water. Ironically there was plenty of hot water coming out of the cold tap in the kitchenette - so we had to buy bottled water to drink.

It was our 3rd time here as we love the location plus the price outside the peak season is really good for what you get. The room, once again, was super clean and they surprised us with a bottle of wine and a letter because we are return guests; this was a nice detail which I thanked for upon departure. Easy late check-in. We will be back for sure. Thanks Bayview Geographe team!

There was no oven in the kitchen so our cooking plans for our family could not go as planned. No air conditioning in bedrooms. No dishwasher & had to boil kettle to get washing up water hot.
The size of the room was good and access to the beach was excellent.

I ended up staying a third naught and they charged me about $60 more for that night than they did on my previous two nights. I believe it should have been at the same rate given it wasn’t peak time.
The location was far better than expected, the setting amongst the trees was lovely and the unit was modern and clean to very high standard.
