How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The place is just so comfy, clean and you could see all the deco details what Katrina did. It is just perfect in between Brisbane and Sydney. As soon as we got in, we felt calm and relax straight away. Thanks Katrina for being so accommodating.

We didn’t appreciate that the toilet was in the one bathroom, which made showers etc difficult with 4 adults.
Clean, airy and modern facilities and build. Location handy to Scott’s Head beach. Well stocked.

The house is super comfortable and beautifully designed, it exceeded our expectations, everywhere is super clean, there're magazines and books and toys for people of all ages to relax and unwind. The hosts are very kind and welcoming. The location is just a few mins drive to the beach, the town is quiet and peaceful, we loved our stay and highly recommend to others.

We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation! The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and incredibly cosy. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, making the space feel both welcoming and comfortable. Katrina was very friendly. We highly recommend this lovely apartment for anyone looking for a relaxing and charming place to stay! We will definitely come back again!

Everything was exceptional - the beautiful accommodation with impeccable styling and finishing touches, lovely hosts, to its close proximity to the beach. We also loved Scotts Heads for its lovely beach and the Driftwood café for an amazing breakfast.

We missed a sink in the small area of the breaky/tea/coffee making area in the lounge, but the upside is there is no expectation to do the dishes i guess!
Beautiful little gem in a gorgeous quiet seaside town. Property was welcoming, beautifully styled and exceeded our expectations. The thoughtful gestures of cookies, cereal and chocolates was appreciated by us and the kids! Beautifully presented and clean.

Second room has a single bed with headboard and foot bar and trundle/rollout - unfortunately we only found the rollout in the morning - our son is tall (175cm) and was too long to fit in the bed comfortably so slept on the couch which was super comfy, the rollout would have worked ...
Stayed here for one night on the way down the coast from Noosa with our small non-shedding dog, really appreciated staying in such fabulous accommodation with a dog - normally you have to settle for something that is sub-par so this was a pleasant find. Katrina met us on arrival and handed over keys. The apartment is WONDERFUL in every way - nice and new, beautiful attention to detail in decor, comfort and cleanliness - even down to good quality coffee bags for a cup first thing in the morning. The couch is super comfy, and it was a great space to relax in after a long and hot day on the road, with aircon and a fabulous new bathroom with decent water pressure and accessories. We would have loved to have stayed another night to explore more of this magical location. Love the dog friendly beaches too - will definitely be back for another visit!

I wish there was a kitchenette there that we didn’t need to leave dirty dishes for host to wash.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The accommodation was thoughtfully set up, with every detail carefully considered to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The space was impeccably clean, which made it feel even more inviting and relaxing. From the well-organized amenities to the cozy atmosphere, it was clear that a lot of care went into making this place a home away from home. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained retreat. Can’t wait to visit again!
