We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

FranceThe staff was amazing. I injured my back on the morning of check out and they were very helpful in taking my luggage to the car to go to the airport. Very grateful. All staff were friendly and helpful. The place is well run, has great facilities (the roof top terrace is great) and was very clean. An extra blanket would have been great, but I am 65 so probably doesn't impact younger travellers :) It's well soundproofed.

The price was great. As we were arriving late and leaving early, we just needed a bed. It was fairly close to Central station, room was large, the bed was comfortable and it was clean. They had tea, coffee and milk powder in the kitchen

AustraliaThe single bed room was small (I can't complain much here) and the only furniture in the room was a bed and clothes rack with shelves. I understand the operators only want the room to be used by a single person, but the room would be more comfortable if one chair was provided.
Centrally located backpackers that is looked after by its staff. The shared kitchen and dining area were spacious downstairs and were clean. At night time my accommodation floor was quiet and I was able to get a good night's sleep. I stayed in a single bed room with an ensuite which was basic but sufficient for my needs

GermanyThe rooms were a little bit smelly and you could open the windows only a few centimetres! Still it was not too bad and still comfortable to sleep!
The staff was amazing and very friendly! They helped me a lot when I extended my stay and gave me a great offer! The location of the hostel is just great and there are a lot of pubs, hotels and restaurants around! Besides that you walk only 5-10min to the central station!

NorwayNothing- some other guests taking phone calls and on speaker phone on the corridor outside our bedroom at 2am was a minor annoyance but it was only a one off.
Excellent location within easy walking distance of the central station (train) with a huge amount of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby and only about 15 minutes away from the harbour (public transport; 35 minutes walk) Comfortable room and bed with a good bathroom and shower. Elevator access to all floors. Rooftop bar (during reception hours) Good laundry facilities and a large shared kitchen. Lots of daily activities (walking tours, pub crawls and other social activities) for those who want to participate and make friends. We extended our stay due to our travel plans changing because of the weather. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I’m ever back in Sydney.

ItalyIt’s my opinion but I don’t understand the deposit since it’s just a room and not an apartment. Plus, they could take some money from your card after your stay so you can’t control if the damage was really made by you or someone else since you are already gone. Nothing happens to me but I still don’t like it. I suggest you to take pictures and videos before and after your stay.
I had a nice time here. Receptionists always kind and helpful. They even organised a dinner buffet for Christmas. I had a double room with bathroom and it was perfect for my needs. No cockroaches. Window can be opened (but not view because of a wall but personally it didn’t annoyed me since there’re other buildings very close and I wanted to have some privacy)

It's a good place to meet other solo travelers, the hostel organizes social activities. There are big lockers in the room. The place is really clean, there are some good cleaners.
