Found this wonderful stay by the beach on a road trip from Brisbane. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed as a family. Great concept, fantastic staff and a great breakfast as a bonus! Thanks Steve and the team. We’ll be back.

Not something we disliked - more of an observation......Some information in the room about the town, attractions, places to eat, restaurant menu, etc., and we would have loved to read the story behind the creation of the Boogie Woogie Beach House.

I would highly recommend it - we stayed in the mixed tape room. The bathroom tiles blew us away (you'll understand if you stay there); the room was very clean; the food in the restaurant downstairs was excellent; there was live music the night we stayed (we left before it finished and couldn't hear it in our room - bonus!) and finally, all the staff we dealt with were lovely. Stay cool Boogie Woogie Beach House, you're awesome!

The air-conditioning stopped on my first night and broke but that was a one of event that happens sometimes.

This place has so much charm and idealistic location right from Old Bar Beach, the themed rooms make for a cozy and perfect experience accompanied with live music just down stairs and probably some of the tastiest food around. The standout here was the staff and their exceptional level of service making my stay super comfortable and pleasant. My AC stopped working late in the night and they assisted me in getting a cooler for the night and a room change right around Christmas time which I was lucky for and ensured I was comfortable for the subsequent nights. I will absolutely stay here again just because of the high level of service that was provided here.

More of a stuff up on my part - last time I stayed on a Friday night and loved the music and food and this time, I drove through on a Sunday and it was dead. As a solo travel it made the trip a bit blah. But the beach location and spa bath made up for it.

The rooms are a work of art and are really comfortable. They have a great selection of records which you can play in your room. It’s got everything you need including restaurant and cafe as well as a great place to enjoy live music.

There’s allot to like. It’s renovated and modern. If I was to be super picky, the water pressure in the shower was low. I would like to emphasise it was a beautifully renovated bathroom.

It was original and quirky in a great way. There were records to play in the room. It had two sets of bunk beds to accommodate more than two kids. The size was spacious with a great verandah off the room. We enjoyed live music with great food and cocktails on the Thursday night.

Nothing it was fabulous

Loved the retro/vintage decor. We especially liked the record player in our room and vinyl library - choice of LPs was awesome! We stayed over a Saturday night so got to enjoy live music in the bar. We stayed here with our two kids in the family room and there was plenty of room. Huge bathroom, own balcony, kitchenette, sofa with large flat screen tv. So much more than we expected!
