I booked it for my daughter n my husband. First day aft they took the key, they were disappointed seeing the fridge in the bathroom area. I asked for a 2 beds room. Called the person in charge. She went n sorted a room. My daughter slept downstairs in the common area. Only the next day aft 1pm the room was ready for them to move in. They sd they sent me an email of the changes to the room also stating their system was down so they too saw my msg late. Maybe the email went to Spam msg's. I didn't see it. There was no water one mrng. They sd due to Road works. Doesn't the house have an over head tank? Even if the government stopped the water, the house shd have some way of storing water during such cases. Anyway, since it was only for 4 nights, my daughter n my husband managed.

1. When people were talking in Chinese, I felt more like they were fighting. Bit noisy. 2. Awkward position of the Toilet, in the middle of the kitchen, found it very uneasy to use it when people are in the kitchen. 3. Big noises when people are coming and going during night time. 4. Bed Lined were DIRTY, those would not have replaced for long it seemed. Very uncomfortable feeling. But worried to ask for new ones as These Chinese people may get angry and started to argue. 5. I just wanted to spend the night and left at 7am next day.

This place is owned and managed by Chinese Nationals. Sometimes difficult to communicate in English. I stayed just one night on 06/01/2025, my room was No#1. I liked; 1. Clean room with big bed 2. Clean (shared) Kitchen with amenities 3. Clean (shared) toilet/bathroom 4. Free towels 5. Many pillows 6. Comparatively cheap but better go for somewhere else for little bit more if you are more concern.

Property owner - TUNE the TV IN ROOM 5 or remove it from the room. Otherwise it's pointless being there taking up most of the space on the table GET A REMOTE CONTROLLER😡 for TV I attempted to manually operate it but gave up after at least 10 tries😡 There's an issue that gives error in settings CHECK ANTENNA Who has time & patience upon arrival, after driving 6hours, to fiddle with & tune a TV? Very annoying & frustrating😡when it doesn't work No spare toilet paper catastrophe🤬 very early on a weekend morning - 3hours at least before the cleaner is due Totally 💩house situation to be in at a share house! Disposable anti bacterial wipes need to be provided to wipe over the kitchen bench The grotty cloth provided, looks & smells very unhygienic. Good luck finding a bread knife in the utensil drawer. BYO knife, fork & spoon if you're not adept at using chop sticks. Bit tricky to butter toast.

I choose to stay here on my regular visits to Melbourne. It's an excellent location to travel by public transport, with a bus stop just over the road; nor is it far to walk to Box Hill train station. Plus excellent value for a comfy, clean bed

I'm assuming the TV in my room didn't work - wasn't plugged in; nor was a remote available. What's the point of it being there if it's not in working order Old column heater looks to be broken and unsafe to use, so it should be removed from the cluttered room! A small electric heater was available, in lieu Air conditioner is so dirty and dusty - I wouldn't want to use it - thankfully it wasn't warm weather as the room was an upstairs, attic style room, which would be very hot in the summer months Room needs a good thorough "dust" clean

Shared house situation. Bed was three mattresses stacked on top of each other. Bedding was inadequate.. ...no towels in outside shower.. Outside toilet was previously used and not cleaned and door wouldnt close properly.. room was musty and no natural light as window was boarded up. Only positive it was 10 minutes walk to boxhill..

The room is full of broken items, The kitchen is sticky and have poor and broken equipment The shared bathroom is dirty and good luck brushing your teeth as the sink is behind the toilet

Impossible to sleep, non regulation of guests that breaking rules and not respecting other guests, dirty kitchen and bathroom, water cut so I couldn't have shower, window giving view on the corridor with poor curtain so if someone is switching the light in the corridor your room is full of light in the middle of the night, owner lying... Awful awful awful

Shower is a little small & need to step up into it. I found that a little tricky as I had plaster on my arm, due to a recent fall. All rooms in the house were accommodated so toilet paper ran out by evening & wasn't replaced until late the next day. I always travel with a roll of paper. Suggest bring your own - just in case!

Great location - so easy to catch bus from Box Hill train station up Station Street to Box Hill Community Centre bus stop. A very safe walk as a lone female, to the accommodation. Just as easy to catch bus on the opposite side of Station Street, to Box Hill. So many choices of food places, and supermarket. Bus goes up to Burwood Highway, and onto Vermont South and Knox City shopping centres. Tram at this stop goes into Melbourne. Final stop, one block to Southern Cross V-Line Railway hub. I travel to Melbourne regularly by V-Line and use this tram option. Alternatively, from Southern Cross- train to Box Hill. Very clean bedding. Air conditioner or fan in bedroom is a bonus. The weather in Melbourne during my stay was extremely hot, but the upstairs room was very cool for sleeping Large fridge/freezer in kitchen to put your groceries.
