We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It was a great location, super close to lots of restaurants, lot of food choices and walking distance to everything you need and want to see while in Sydney. The light rail is just in front of the Hotel.

AustraliaStaff were surly at best and rude at worst. Made twin bed request when booking. Confirmed week before. Confirmed on check in. Got to room and it was a king bed. Went back downstairs. Did not reallocate room but had to go away and wait for room to be redone. They left a caramello koala, one between two... Room was $370 a night, more like a 3 star $170 per room feel.
Room was clean and comfortable and quiet despite a busy location. Loved having a small balcony for fresh air. Small fridge was useful.

Fantastic location right in the heart of Haymarket / Chinatown in Sydney. Perfect for seeing shows at the Capitol Theatre. 8 min walk from central station and a 1 min walk away from the light rail that will take you central quay etc. Clean and tidy room with adequate kitchenette to help with basic meals.

MalaysiaWe had a room on the 5th floor and didn't mind the noise from the trams. Tbh buskers are louder, but they do stop by 11pm.
The location is super convenient, near two tram lines and many shops. The kitchen is tight but works for us. You need to request for pots and pans, but it is otherwise well equipped w dishes and cutlery, including things you wld need to prep food and wash up.

GermanyDue to the central location and old windows street noise was very noticeable even on the 10th floor. We managed ok with the noise - other guests might have issues with that noise level (same goes for AC and fridge). No pans were in the kitchen but could be borrowed at the reception (we had no need for it).
The location is both the biggest asset and liability. It is centrally located in Chinatown with a Lightrail station nearby. The room was ok but a bit dated. The staff was friendly.

Perfect location for getting from airport to central to Mantra. Perfect that it was in Chinatown too. Staff were awesome at sorting out my incorrect bookings (I came up from Tassy for a funeral in Bathurst so was pretty tired and emotional). They went above and beyond!!
