We were here during the Townsville floods and the hospitality provided was outstanding. The hosts were incredibly kind throughout, putting our minds at ease, and provided a delicious breakfast for the two days we were there.

The shower could do with a refurbishment and it would be nice to have a tv in your room.

The breakfast was delicious and generous. The building had been sympathetically restored and the decor was pleasant. BUT the owners were the real bonus; pleasant, friendly without being intrusive and informative.

The fact that we couldn’t stay longer!

We only stayed one night as we were continuing our travels the following morning. Perfect location for a quiet stay. Iva and her husband were excellent hosts and gave us great recommendations for the little time we had there. The house was beautiful and tastefully decorated. Every detail was thought of, without exception. And the breakfast was incredible!

Amazing breakfast! Fresh tropical fruit salad, yoghurt, hot toast, eggs cooked to your order, cereal and milk all presented very professionally outside on the back deck. Bed was comfy, and our room was well presented and spotless. Lovely old world Queenslander home in central Townsville. The hosts were so friendly and attentive. Made us a fresh pot of tea as soon as we arrived and made sure we knew all what restaurants were close by. Also enjoyed playing a game of snooker in the pool room and had a glass of complimentary sherry. Really can't fault this B&B. We'll be back!

Beautiful spacious room with character and comfort combined, within an amazing Queenslander house with a gorgeous terrace out back to enjoy the views of the mountain and sky, along with the big mango tree in the back garden. Lovely ensuite shower and toilet with the room. Bed was super comfy and I slept like a koala 🐨. The hosts Eva and Richard know customer service, and they are 11/10 in this department- attention to every detail, lots of local knowledge and tips from dining out and must dos in the local area. Breakfasts are top notch and plentiful. Full recommendation to stay here if you want a home away from home, and with true local friendliness and top service within a setting that gives you a glimpse into yesteryear.

Eva was full of tourists information and so helpfull

Both location and breakfast was great. Host ‘s Eva and Russell were such wonderful host . Picked us up at train station and even dropped us off at ferry terminal. Gave us an impromptu sightseeing trip around Townsville. Nothing was too much trouble. Just made our stay so much better and stress free.

A beautiful restored old queenslander, wonderfully decorated suitable to its era. Great breakfast, comfortable bed, nice rooms, good location and helpful friendly staff. A real delight!
