Had the most lovely comfy stay. It was very relaxing. I loved the natural forest setting. The owner was a great host. I would stay there again. Everything was lovely and clean and they had face washers… bonus!

TV was high on wall and had to be lying in bed to watch comfortably, and sometimes the reception or wifi didn’t work, but not really a big deal.

Cosy studio is a comfortable and friendly accommodation option, but don’t expect a resort style space. All amenities were provided. King size bed was comfy, clean fluffy towels for bathroom and separate pool towels. Outdoor kitchenette is basic and adequate with all basic needs supplied. Easy for breakfast and nibbles. The pool is shared with the owner and was never intrusive and always a fantastic welcome after a day of exploring. Cosy studio is about 4km from Macrossan St. Hire bikes for an easy ride into town, via the beach. Ride back via the bike paths to avoid the easterly winds back to the accommodation. Alternatively use the share ride shuttle buses which are easy and friendly to use. The host, Prema is warm and welcoming and very generous.

Only thing is the kitchen facilities could have been slightly better maybe, no kitchen sink to wash up. Maybe the dressing room could be turned into a kitchennete with a sink so it can be a proper studio.

A lovely big room with en-suite and dressing room which led out onto a dining patio area and swimming pool. Outdoor basic kitchen facilities (microwave, fridge, hot plate, toaster, kettle, pizza oven). Good location in private residential area. Very comfortable bed, good shower and aircon. Host was so kind thoughtful and generous! She gave us lots of little bits and nothing was too much if we needed anything!

Privacy compromised by closeness of owners kitchen. The bed was huge but too soft and uneven. Bird life might be a bit much for light sleepers.

Our host was great. Welcoming and helpful. Clean and lots of room. Just a short walk to the beach, a pub and 2 good eateries. Off street parking.

The studio wasn't as clean as we would have liked and didn't have as much privacy as we hoped it would (the location being so close to the owner's house wasn't clear to us when we booked).

Reasonable price for Port Douglas. Prema was very helpful

No complaints at all.

You had your own kitchenette outside, kettle fridge, coffee, tea and milk. Little closet with hangers, a tv with Netflix on. A FULL LENGTH MIRROR- rare opportunity for a backpacker (me). Quiet location, it was wonderful sitting out on patio in evening listening to the rainforest orchestra beautiful garden with pool. Sat and painted in the rain on patio one afternoon good shelter but so relaxing with the litter patter of the rain. Would highly recommends, loved my stay here.

The cottage was very clean and so comfortable such a pleasant host that really made my stay a memorable one highly recommend staying at this beautiful place and was close to beach and easy access to all the tours restaurant and resorts

The room was warm and clean, with facilities to prepare simple food and a small pool if we wanted a swim. The location was a 40 minute walk from the centre of Port Douglas in a lovely quiet neighbourhood, but a short drive from the Main Street with a variety of restaurants and cafes.

We had a lovely stay at Cosy Studio. Our host was really helpful and engaging, going over and above in giving us food to taste, whilst leaving us space as well.

Everything was great but if I have to choose something the TV was in a bit of an awkward angle up high.

There are 2 locks on the door, which I locked on the first day. When I went to unlock the door, the key that was given to me only unlocked the dead lock and not the other. I was locked out for a while until the owner returned. The owner failed to tell me that the key only unlocked the dead lock. TV didn’t work. Ceiling fan in main room only worked on low or high speed, medium speed didn’t work. 2 towels, face washer and towel mat smelt and felt freshly washed. But I stayed for a week and needed to use the extra towels stored in walk-in robe. They smelt of horrible stale storage smell and I didn’t use them. The coat hangers I had to clean the few that I used. The floor mats were dirty as when I walked on them bare foot, grit would come off onto my feet. This got annoying so I ended up laying the stale towels over the mats. Kitchen utensils weren’t readily available, and I had to ask for things a few times. Internet wasn’t available on two of the nights. Also no privacy outside or in “private pool area” as the owners live within the outdoor area. There double door always open during the day when they’re home. I could here them quite often.

I couldn't stay longer

Loved the friendliness of the landlord went over and above what I expected.A tranquil setting very private. The pool was heated and was still refreshing to relax in I felt I was in my own private resort.
