Junky neighbours and no door locks except chain. Cigarette smells in rooms.

Our room was stinky before so we have requested to change and they did. New room was good.

Check in by phone. Person on phone was not at all friendly. Wasn’t rude but but “what’s your name, room 4, bye. How about a hello even. Dishes were absolutely filthy.

Door lock was difficult to use and it is much more dated than the photos. Bed linen looked like my Nana's house in the 1970. Was just told by another guest to call a telephone number, and then told by manager to go to room and key was inside.

Cleaners came to room early despite wanting to sleep in, didn't identify themselves, pushy and rude. Neighbouring guests fighting during the night.

Didn't like that there was music playing and two people arguing right in the room next to me upon my arrival, it made me feel vulnerable. I didn't like that I didn't feel I could lock the door, there is a small chain to draw across the inside of the door but really anybody could come and still open the door. Didn't like that there wasn't any pots or pans to make use of the kitchen hot plate area. I didn't travel with any pots or pans so its pointless as a facility. Didn't like that all my food froze inside the fridge, I went to get it out in the morning and I found out the hard way that the dial was on the wrong setting at 7. Didn't like that there was so much dust and rubbish piled up underneath the bed - I dropped my car key and knocked it just under the edge and when I saw underneath the bed I was totally grossed out by the thick layers of dust, hair bands, old food packet, pop corn bits & food crumbs. Didn't like that at 9.30 on morning of check out the door was knocked with a "hello" and I answered to two cleaning women who said "are you guys leaving today" To which I replied "morning, erhm yes" and looked at the time on my phone. So there was an "ok" and they left as I stood there. Did not like that I felt it necessary to wear ear plugs to get my sleep but at least I had some with me.

Easy access to the room and simple parking right outside the room. Like that the person answered the phone as I called upon my late arrival to ask which room I was due to stay in. Liked the small table to use with my laptop & eat dinner. Nice to have some tea and coffee provided. Liked that there was a reverse cycle machine but unfortunately it wasn't switched on so I felt cold the first night but was good once I had pressed the power on button.

Pillows hard / for 2 people there was only 1 glass and plate, and it looked a little ‘unloved’ as a property. I get that it was budget, .. but I wonder if owners are overwhelmed or given up on business

Things were grubby, I had to clean the kettle inside and out before using. Walls were damaged, drapes not hung well, table and chair were grubby or damaged. Stove and oven available but no pots, pans or trays to use. Using the kitchen sink as a bathroom basin.

Arrived late but was met by someone to show us to our room. Bed was comfortable and pillows were very comfortable. Shower was hot with good pressure & clean enough. Size of the room was good.

It did not have tea towel for dishes, bath mat for shower, hand towel for bathroom, no doona to stay warm in winter, no extra pillows. Bedding smelt bad. The TV didn’t work & had to get reception to fix. No reception to checkout at 0900 & didn’t get an invoice for stay.

broken wine glass in the shower ,one cup between two people and no glasses for a drink of water and the toilet had toilet paper in it and pillow flat as pan cakes
