Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. As we were adults sleeping in second bedroom with 2 x single beds, could have had an extra pillow per bed.

While the unit was very neat and clean, the toilet needs cleaning with bleach. Also the shower floor needs a good scrub to get soap scum off tiles. Everything else was very clean.
The location is perfect - easy walk to beach, cafes and shops. Very clean and light, north facing windows. Kitchen had everything that you need. Queen bed was very comfy.

Apartment building surrounds was a bit disconcerting to arrive at night time, a light in the driveway would be good.

The hallway looked a bit shabby, but I was pleasantly surprised with the unit.
Unit 9 was very clean, close to the beach and shops. Everything you could possibly need.

Someone parked in our appointed car spot during our stay. Not a big deal, as we just used the one next to it (which technically belonged to apartment 10).
Great apartment, clean and nicely furnished. Excellent location close to beach and Cronulla CBD.

Nothing bad, everything is great，It's just because it's an old apartment and there's no elevator, so it's a bit tiring to carry luggage, but it's not the landlord's fault.
The location is great, you can walk to the surf beach, and the ice cream truck on the beach is the best ice cream I have ever had. The room is clean and tidy and has everything you need. The customer service responded quickly and there is a parking space.

Fantastic location right in the heart of Cronulla short walk to the shopping strip and beach and very clean and comfortable great communication with the owners highly recommend anyone wanting to stay in Cronulla to pick this place. Will definitely stay here again.

We found the apartment very clean, and the beds and linen were great quality. Modern kitchen and bathroom and the host was very obliging to let us into the property ahead of time. The location was perfect, easy walking distance to Main Street and public transport including the ferry to Bundeena.

The flat's assigned car spot was taken after we arrived home late from the function we had attended. There was no parking on the street so we had to park on the grass just off the driveway. Would have been more comfortable if our car was parked in the assigned spot, but not much the owner could do about other residents doing that.
Everything was really nicely presented, despite being an older building. Proximity made it easy to get around to dining/shops etc. Bonus having a hairdryer and shower wash in the bathroom!

Everything is fabulous. This is our 3rd time staying at this apartment. The beds are so comfortable and are updated regularly. The AC was essential as the weather was cool. So much was provided that we only had to buy food. The wi-fi was flawless for all of us The location was excellent, near cafes, bars, restaurants, supermarket, post office etc. There's a reason we keep going back.
